i agree with you on the skill level for "soccer" some players are truly amazing with what they can do. But rugby, is a painful game. just get stuck in a ruck, or get spere (sp?) tackled... both = painSgt_Bob05 wrote:
That is exactly what i mean. All you big fuckers do is hit each other and slap each other on the arse. And the skill level it takes pales in comparison to what it takes to be a professional soccer player.Sarrk wrote:
Cricket and Rugby dont take any skill?
Bullshit, you try and play well
As for rugby being boring, I ought to hit you
My good friend, soccer is the most popular sport in the world but it is certainly not the most fun to watch/play.Sgt_Bob05 wrote:
I fucking hate you dumb aussie bastards that think AFL/RUGBY/CRICKET are good sports. They do not invlove any skill and are so boring to watch. Soccer is excruciatingly boring to watch. Oh yay, every 20 minutes you get excited because the ball comes close to gettin in the goals. What is so fun about watching grown men fall to the floor like little pansies begging for a free?
I don't see how soccer is more skillful...you kick a ball along the ground, oh yay. You don't have to worry about the oppisition coming from behind and crunching you, you don't get the excitment of there being 1 goal in the game and each team putting their body on the line to win. The only skill in the game is trying to score a goal, and stop the goals.

Man i have this arguement all the time. Ball control is the hardest thing to master of any sport. Its just what you've grown up with. I love watching soccer, if it wasn't for exams i'd watch every single game. I can see that just like anyone else i've had this conversation with that neither of us is going to change our mind so i'll leave it at that. I'll see you on karkand soon . By the way its nothing personal-[Silver.Inc* wrote:

See you can even predict the score for soccer, and more times than not, its right.buckers13 wrote:

Soccer is predictable, AFL is not.
whats wrong with predicting ? part of the fun... put a bit of money on it, hopefully you win.-[Silver.Inc* wrote:

Soccer is predictable, AFL is not.
you can still predict in other sports... rugby for example, you can normally get pretty close with the score. AFL i'm not familiar with, (never watched a game, and don't even understand it lol)
Some only look at the FIFA Rankings, i don't well I look at them, but that doesn't say something, we lost against Macedonia ones too, so i dunno-[Silver.Inc* wrote:

Honestly I was pretty impressed. I saw a clip on the news which showed one Brazillian get past every single last Kiwi and score a goal, (the third one,) but all in all we wern't completely disgraced. Glad the Eunthinacia is over.

Well, it's Ironic you Say that.
The Person that took that penalty, Mark Viduka, missed a Penalty in the Penalty Shootout for the World Cup Qualifeier. It was Lucky our Keeper managed to Save another.
I Find it Ironic that he Missed, yet again.
And that Free Kick was ever so Close.....
