okay,

so  the disc loads as I put it in my Driver, but when I want to click: "install" something weird shows up

"c:\Windows\system32\autoexec.nt ,  the system doesn't work for MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows-aplications.
16-bits Windows-subsystem"

Is there any way that I can solve this error?

If you are talking about Red Alert 1 , the only option you have is Windows 95 OR Windows 98. Problem with XP is it uses NT system, and NTFS file format and I believe RA-1 doesn't allow you to use that format. Now here is a PROBLEM if you want to use Win'98....it doesn't work with if you have more then 512 RAM if I remember correct, you will most probably get a BLUE screen. I am pretty sure win'95 won't work but you can give Win'98 a try.

If you are talking about RA-2, I recommend you to check file-format. I think if you have NTFS, it could be a problem. Try using FAT or FAT32. I am not so sure about this.

Perhaps someone else have any better idea?

I tried to play RA-1 with XP but it didn't work; however, RA-2/Yuri's Revenge did work.

Good Luck

Hi..
+71|6869|Here.
I know there is a fix for running C&C 2 on XP, but dont think there is one for RA 1.

By the way, did you know there's a 3rd C&C coming out??

Guy run C&C in "compatability mode" for XP. I have Red Alert running on my g/f's laptop sweet as, and she has XP .

Install in compatability mode and run the game in compatability mode.

Start-> programs-> accessories->program combatability wizard -> run in Win9x

Should run sweet as
I also have a copy of C&C Aftermath too. If you want a copy pm me
Oh and 1 more thing - you CAN play the game with more than 512MB RAM with no blue screen, she got 768MB
