This is not a thread for kids to start posting crap about how many gallons they can drink in an afternoon.  If u wanna do that, then start another thread please.

I like a good beer.  I really do.  More so now the older i get, and im finding myself getting all fussy about what glug i pour down my neck.

Guys, please post offbeat beers/lagers/ales/pils that you might recommend.  I have found a little off-licence close to my house that sells beers from all over the world, and Im making my way steadily thru them, one 6pack at a time.  Ill post my humble opinions on the finest ones that i try out, for other likeminded folk to seek and try themselves should u be so inclined.

If u make a post, as requested, please make it an adult one, and possibly accompany the beer you suggest with a pic of the bottle or label.

There was this one beer I tasted in '98.. A Flemish brown ale called Goudenband from Liefmans..

Now that was some offbeat-beer! Never tasted anything like it. Definitely worth a try.

I'm quite fond of Happoshu, its a Japanese beverage but with less malt than normal beer which gives it a slightly different taste, i found it quite refreshing, if they have any or something similar you should try it.

the best beer is when its been a few weeks since you had one, your thirsty, and you had a bad/long day, then you open one and its ice cold.
but for my brand i prefer keiths by the bottle and either keiths or kooteny draught

Maudite was great. Ive only found it in Vermont and Canada when I was there. Get all warm and fuzzy after just one.

I really like Sam Adam's 'Double Bock' and 'White Ale'.
Also enjoy Duck-Rabbit 'Milk Stout', produced in my home state of North Carolina.

Well, since I´m from Sweden I should get my 2 cents in about a swedish beer that is teh shi*. It´s called Lapin Kulta and kinda reminds me of Heineken regarding to taste but it has a certain something that differs. Can´t put my finger on it though... Anyways try it, it´s great...

I lived in Pennsylvania near Philadelphia for most of my life.  My favorite beer while there was Yuengling.  My local dive called the Trappe served it.  One day they were out.

If you like dark beer, then I would definitely suggest Celebrator from Germany.  It's a dopplebock, very malty almost chocolatey.   Not too hard to find, fancier grocery stores will have it.

I think the above web site is pretty good, also like a lot of the beers mentioned above (umm, except bud lite).

I like the Samuel Adams beer the best. I like to try all Lagers just to taste. It came down to Sam Adams or Killians for me.

Sapporo FTW

Oh, and a Japanese beer, Tiger. I tried while on a layover at some airport in Japan. Forgot which one, I was drunk. You can smoke in their airports, pretty kick ass. That was 5 years ago though.

I saw an article here in the Washington (D.C.) Post that Yuengling was no longer produced.

On a hot day after working int he yard: Ice Cold Coronoa
In teh evening: Boddington's Pub Draft, Old Speckled Hen, or a real black & tan (bend your spoon!) with Bass on the bottom and Guinness on the top!

I'm from Luxembourg (one of the smallest countries) and our beer is not really god, but if you know where Luxembourg is situated some of our neighbor's like Belgium and of course Germany have the best beers for me.
