No, Hitler was better then Stalin, they both died in equaly horrible ways(froze, beat, not fed) except Stalin killed more. Thought with 2 bullets I would of went after both.....
I don't take the shot... I thought you all learned your lesson after you saw Back to the Future. Messing with time is a risky business. Besides, I like to play CoD2...
The world could be different in so many ways if Hitler had been killed.... the USSR could rule the world... for example.... who knows.

That is not even funny. Do you have any idea how many people died in WW2. I don't think people should joke around like that. And now ppl are going to flame about this post but I could really care less.cyborg_ninja-117 wrote:
ur kinda right, and there goes cod series, dod... so ww2 was a good thing in the future in a sensePBAsydney wrote:
WTF! What are you guys thinking!
WITHOUT HITLER: NO BATTLEFIELD 1942!
I guess I would cap him.
are you guys forgetting that the nazis killed millions?
Aslan - let's hope there are no flames. However, what makes you think capping Adolph would have stopped the war?
I got negged for the above. Obviously someone doesn't understand the subtleties of sarcasm.CameronPoe wrote:
If you did kill him then we wouldn't have great movies like Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List and Der Untergang (Downfall). Not to mention the fact that the History Channel would have to seriously rethink it's programming schedule.
Today 21:39:30 -1 You have ONE shot Nice so because of Movies you think thousands should be killed..... Go fuck your self you sick prick.
Too true. A plan was put together by the SOE in 1944 to assassinate Hitler whilst he went for one of his daily walks in the countryside at the eagles lair called Operation Foxley . The go ahead was never given though. One reason is thought to be that he was such a bad military leader that killing him would be detrimental to the allied war effort.Flaming_Maniac wrote:
No, hitler was a terrible leader militarily, and history has shown that if the assasination plot carried out by his senior officers at work the war would have taken much longer than it had, and Germany may have won.
Last time I checked Jews aren't a Germanic people.cyborg_ninja-117 wrote:
no, not all the jews killed by hitler were germans, some dutch, polish, u get the picture...bakarocket wrote:

yes. since he killed more ppl than hitler. his OWN ppl
They even entered the European mainland from a different direction.
impossible to answer. It is the classic "Back to the future" dilemma. Who knows how history would have developped if Hitler had been assasinated ? Maybe Nazi Germany would have won the war ? Maybe they wouldn't have broken the deal with Stalin ? Maybe the germans would have developped nuclear weapons before the allies ?
even more interesting: imagine you go back in time to kill Hitler but for some weird reason it leads to your mom and dad not meeting later and you are not born. How can you kill Hitler then ?
Seriously, bad things happen when we mess with time.
Who knows what the world would look like today. It could be worse.

See, even if you were to change one little thing in even the most minute manner, that one microscopic sperm that made it inside all of your mothers could have been a competing spermazoa. Thusly, your existence would be obliterated. And who the hell knows how that would turn out...you know...being back in time and all...and becoming..."unborn"...and...such. I think the best possible thing you could do, were you to go back in time, is bring back an entire crap load of information so that civilization could advance to where it is today within 100 years of, say, 1000 BC. Just imagine where we'd fuckin' be now, eh (but wait...what if when you do that you change the course of history and then you and all of your information disappear right as you're about to properly inform the recipients - then it's like reverting the present back 3000 years, lol)?

I was just thinking, what if you missed?
Then that simply means you got that Expert Sniper Badge by some unsavory means.elmo1337 wrote:

World War 2 was the one major event which brought the United States out of the Great Depression for good. Without it, we might not be half as powerful as we are now.
If Germany hadn't been there to stop the Soviets from taking over Europe, (and the rest of the world, for that matter) who would be?
Would you rather have the same horrible thing happen in modern times? Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it. But, if you delete Hitler and WW2 from the pages of history, who's going to know not to repeat it again? It never happened, from their point of view, (if you take the shot and kill Hitler, I mean).
So, no. I'd take out a high-ranking general like Rommel or Von Runstedt. Or would I?

If you did the war may have not gone on long enough for the level of attrocity needed to "awaken the global community".

I think that killing hitler would not neccessarily have stopped a second world war from happening, but it would have stopped WW2 AS WE KNOW IT.
But without a doubt, killing Hitler would affect absolutely everything that exists in this world, especially if you killed him 72 years ago. Imagine if you were never born, and now imagine how that would affect your family and friend's day to day interactions. Over the course of 10 or 20 years, events for these people will end up being dramatically different from what they actually were. Anytime you speak to someone (even someone you dont know) or interact with them in the slightest way, that will affect everything they do during that day to an extent. It might not be what you said or done to them, BUT WHAT YOU PREVENTED THEM FROM DOING AT THAT TIME.
Now do that over the course of 72 years, during which 60 million were people were killed due to hitler's existence and you end up with an impossibly different picture of 2006.
No I wouldn't have killed him, I would have given him a laptop loaded with 200GB of porn and tons of spare batteries.

Think of it like this... If someone shoots GW Bush, Dick gets to be head dog. Bush just looks stupid, Cheany looks evil.
Getting rid of Hitler probably would have only left some other nutter in charge, maybe someone who would have won WW2. Hilter balls-ed up plenty of chances to do so.

BOOM, headshot...
But Hitler was also insane.. he didn't willingly lose the war. He was a nutter.Fred[OZ75] wrote:

It wouldn't be possible, if hitler had died there, you would never have had the reason to go beck, hence never gone back.
But in theory, I wouldn't because then something else would have happened, possible worse.
Red Alert anyone? lol
The title of this post reminds me of a joke my mate told me. Bush, Bin Laden and Mugabe in a room and you only have two bullets, who do you shoot???
Bush....twice
Bush....twice
nobody ever learns not to go to war from other wars... its why they still happen.Spearhead wrote:

as far as other countries are concerned does it matter to them if it was usa or russia that ended up being the superpower, no one country can rule the world, its to much, they can just influence it.(heavily)
Don't kill the symptom go for the cause....
No. World War II taught us valuable lessons, some of which we applied.
No. Germany would be wrecked without Hitler taking power. Communism would probably run rife. I'll let your imaginations take it from here...
