Well, if what he want's to do is send the fixes to EA, then I'm all for it.  If nothing else just to show their asses up.

To bad my VB skills are not even up to such a task.

I highly doubt VB can do such task. I think it's C++ and Java. But if he can do it, not a bad idea
Sorry but my VB knowledge is not much up-to-date anymore I wish I could help.

Good Luck

i dont think he's making a hook by the sound of it he's making a troubleshooting exe with all his stuff in it so no threads are needed?
am i right or? are you actually making a hook?
if your doing the first thing i can probably help out although i'd need to acquire a copy i haven't had one in a while

Depends on what the original app was written in.

Some how I doubt that BF2 is in Java.  C++ is a better bet, but I doubt that too.

C# or J# might be a better guess even yet, or some propietary EA language crap.

If BF2 was written in Java, I'll kill myself.

I've been taking this damn language for 2 years, and I've yet to find a use for it and it's instability other than a decent training aid....

EDIT::: no wait... it all makes perfect sense now

I've never had a problem with Java.  But I will agree that it doesn't make the best apps, or I should say that most Java apps I have seen are very poorly written and designed.

+1 for you

All I'm doin is making fix for original bug that will run from VB I.E

To fix VOIP person needs to go to run type in dxdiag go to sound tab and change the sound accseleration level to basic.

Now instead of person doing that above, I will have just Button in VB, that will change settings in dxdiag.

Same as other bug fix.

Peace Boris

Edit

theDude5B  I will send you PM and more info here, and after on Email Will let you know

Off topic, but for BF2 as far as I can see:

C/C++ (maybe even some ASM methods in libs) - Main Exe and DLLs.  Uses some EA written and some 3rd-party libraries.
Python (or Dice specific variant of) - Game Logic and AI Implementation (calls methods contained in game DLLs).
Either Cg or HLSL (probably the latter) - Vertex / Pixel Shaders

i take it you'll have an "undo" with each button? or at the very least a description mouseover? things like sound acceleration can be a pain if setup wrongly for other stuff? so maybe a "return to previous settings" button that reverts to a saved setting?
