the fracturing of the hastily and cynically arranged 'alliance' between the MAGA trumpers and peter thiel's 'dark enlightenment' of libertarian-randian-accelerationist tech bros has played out in the space of 24 hours over the evidently toxic issue of ... H1B visas and hiring foreign talent.

it turns out that musk, a south african immigrant grifter who relies on government contracts and tax write-offs to float his empires, is a fan of government-directed schemes to import the global south's talent at 60% the cost of american labour and with little of the protections afforded to american workers. who woulda thunk it?!?

very funny to see vivek ramaswamy unnecessarily wade into the debate, though, and torpedo any future chances he has of high office in the republican party. he basically came in to support musk on the indian-H1B visa topic and ended up writing a long diatribe about how the american worker is lazy, unmotivated, low-IQ, unreliable, etc., and how any company seeking the 1% of excellence just has to look to mumbai or delhi ...

considering, for the umpteeenth time, that members of my own family were vociferously in support of it from the outset, i somehow doubt i thought 'everyone thought like me'. i'm painfully aware that many people are below me on the IQ curve. such is life.

No but really, from what I remember it was inconceivable to you that the British public could be so dumb as to vote for Brexit.
I know the British public and I know for certain that they are that dumb. I could easily see it happening and so it did.

Its been a disaster for Britain and Europe but there we go.
I blame Cameron and Merkel, and the French obviously.
Farage is an opportunist and took an opportunity which should never have been available to him.
