Eh, nade spam was only really a problem at the start of Karkand inf.

Uncap rape was aids, however most servers had rules against it.

Karkand with vehicles was awesome. Infantry only was good too.

Had a bit of fun with the Back to Karkand in BF3, too.

I hate to inform you, mac, but your sig is 60 pixels too high, as per the signature rules. Address this and email me your reply back asap.

re: strike at karkand

Infantry only, the map's opening was one of the most frantic, chaotic parts of the game. As annoying as it could get sometimes, all the close quarters stuff there kept me coming back. Endless fighting to defend, or the triumph of finally capping something. Kicking people for nade spam, just don't host that map I guess. PKM corridors got more annoying imo. Police those too? /s

The chokepoints at the beginning of IO Karkand and Jalalabad could be fun every now and again but were usually boring as shit and really only helpful for points rather than actually playing the fun parts of the game.

Mashtuur city, requiring both sides to start equidistant from the the main points of the map and move as squads strategically was the best and a good way to prove which was actually a better team. Sharqi started like Karkand and Jala but once you could infiltrate the city was the best - better than Mashtuur.

Why the fuck are we talking about this again?

I remember there was a mod at one point who was pretty strict about not allowing posting of new threads if there was any more general thread to be found for that topic that was already in existence.  I don't remember who that was, but obviously if somebody is discouraging new posts because one already exists somewhere, that's likely going to empty a forum out and dissuade new users from coming around.  One thing I could actually appreciate about that though, was that it contributed to this forum culture's tolerance of necroposting though.  A lot of car forums in particular are pretty strict about not allowing that even if there's useful information to be found or asked for and it's also not a particularly active forum/subforum, I think the Ford Crown Victoria forums actually lose any thread that's past 2 years old if I recall correctly.

There were also some mods that were straight up pricks.  I think I remember somebody baiting me into getting banned by them one time when I was a dumb little overly reactionary teenager, but I also can't recall who that was.

Post a new thread, closed and "use the search." Revive an old thread, "no necroposting allowed." Irritating. Baiting people into admins, also such.

Yeah- everything in moderation / balance. If 80% of posts are people asking the same question or topic, it can drown out more engaging conversation that entices people to stay and engage. Who's to say or speculate.
everything i write is a ramble and should not be taken seriously.... seriously.

to be fair, in scotland, this is any age after 8. after that, you're in the shipyards welding joints for an irish boss with jameson's on his breath and a loose way with his fists.

I think uzique is the only one actively flaming dilbert, but dilbert is actively flaming uzique.

My contributions here are usually confusion as to why he, an engineer, professes expert opinion in not even remotely related fields. Awhile back there was this ackshully post on Vietnam. Not long before that, he expressed interest in maybe reading a book on Vietnam for a change, in response to being questioned why he doesn't read something that isn't a skim over WW2 for a change.

And then all the conspiracy theory nonsense, race bunk, etc.

"Actually newbie, that's how numbers work" because dilbert is such a stickler for statistics.

Also, he has yet to comment on the literal cat game. This is vexing.

Trending, good reviews, very cat-like stuff including flopping over when getting a sci-fi device put on that fits like a halter.
