I picked the corporate lifepath and was expecting to do some deus ex shit. Instead 5 minutes into the prologue, you get kicked out of the corporation and instead have to be a street person. And you get this cutscene.
All three lifepaths get the same cutscene...the whole lifepath thing is irrelevant. From what I read, none of it even gets followed up on. The whole game is the street kid lifepath.
This either means that they added an irrelevant lifepath decision or they had to cut a tremendous amount of content.
I don't want to play GTA in Cyberpunk. I wanted to be Deus Ex man.
From what I have read, the lifepath only gives you a few different dialogue options. Otherwise, you are in the same storyline as the other lifepaths completely. I would be very pissed if I followed the game development closely with the anticipation of being Deus Ex man.
It's kind of weird if you don't get access to contacts from your old life, or unique skills to use.
Deus Ex guy was all about the power fantasy anyway. You were so much more robocopped than pretty much everyone you meet. More of a butcher than a warrior, really.
The official paradox forum is the kapo barracks of the grand strategy genre.
The people there are very defensive of Paradox. They think because they have 90something badges that they are on the Paradox team. The Reddit subs TeLlS iT liKe It Is.
I have to go talk about the Berlin Conference in a moment so I will update about my latest run later.
They don't take you seriously unless you have a wall of badges. I had the games, but didn't bother to register them all. So I did out of spite. Every last one of them I owned. Then the thought became that I must have went out and bought everything that day just for the forum badges so I could "win the argument."
Steam should just screenshot what's on your screen. Sounds like a problem some built-in screenshotter the game has would have. Normally I just use the one that snapshots a clean image of the world without as much UI. Pretty sure that's in/still in HoI4? I think I used it a lot in the Vickies? Maybe I'm imagining stuff, it's early.
Attempted to do some achievements as France. Didn't work out. Wanted to get the achievement to occupy all of the U.K. but Germany and Italy instead took the land there.
These peace conferences need work said I for the 40th time
Did you ever see those ads for Hunt a Killer game? It's like dungeons & dragons for True Crime? Equal parts bizarre and incredibly novel.
Someday I plan to sit together with my big nose kids and big nose foreigner wife and solve the mystery of who shot Tyron in the woods while we celebrate Christmas evening.
Finally finished the RDR2 story and have maybe a couple hours left to 100% the single player. 10/10 would play again (but won't). The epilogue was a very interesting vehicle for the story much moreso than a gameplay focus, and sitting through the credits, I realized the music was really well done without every having paid too much attention to it during the game.
