This post is irrelevant to the topic on this forum, but I am still giving it a try in hope of getting good advice. I am thinking of buying a shock collar for my dog due to his excessive barking behavior, but I am afraid that the use of such product might create a negative impact sooner or later. Is there a great way to eliminate the unwanted sound that dog produces without using bark collars?
Interact with your dog more so it gets exercise and isn't bored as often. If it's a thing where you're gone and it barks, give it stuff to do like interactive treat-dispensing toys to play with. Hire a dog walker or take it to a pet daycare. You could try an ultrasonic deterrent and adjust the frequency until you hit a sweet spot, but this shouldn't be your first or only measure.
Beat the dog whenever it barks.
Bizarre story. Was the dog's owner really being honest about receiving no nuisance barking complaints? But then this is a country where even waffle houses are subject to random rampages.
The shock collar is really for your kid, be honest.
If not, or even if so, there are collars which spray citronella when your dog/child barks, no need to tase them each time.

Fuck Israel
Can we devise one for Trump that activates whenever he starts typing in Twitter?
Just buy one for an unusually fat dog, connect a phone and link the alert sound to the collar.
It would probably take a firmware engineer about six months to implement.

The firmware engineer at my workplace is an ass, we're taking on two more for no obvious reason.
Either he is going to get found out or we will soon have three asses to tell me they're too busy to answer my emails.
