i didn't drink sodas much until i was about 15 or so but when I was in my early and mid 20s I drank soda religiously (at least 1 a day) and never gained much weight. Nowadays I drink maybe 1 a week if that? My metabolism is beastly though - I shit like 4x a day.pirana6 wrote:

I think I have had one can of soda in three weeks. I only drink water. If I want something sweet, I will get a juice. Still a ton of sugar but at least you get vitamins. Try to eat healthy but just bought two slices of buffalo chicken pizza.

I think it's more about doing it as a child. If you do it young enough for long enough you get it ingrained in your head that that is normal diet. If you wait until you're mature enough you understand the whole 'everything in moderation'. Have you ever found it weird how your body reacts to soda compared to water? I have a mason jar I use as a glass for water. It is equal to two cans of soda. Whenever I fill it up I can drink it once over before I leave the faucet. So in 10 minutes I often end up drinking the equivalent of 4 cans of soda. I was under the impression that soda was supposed to have the opposite effect, that it was supposed to keep making you feel hungry.

I chug drinks, a small Tropicana is one swig, a can is 2-5 gulps depending on how thirsty I am. Usually makes me burp almost immediately.
