when this forum hosted stats, the beginning of topics related to gaming and bf2, the interaction of people from all over the world, and when the Junk Drawer was a section?

I also remember when moderators would keep a topic on point, kept their ego out of it, and were helpful.

how are we still bitching about moderators at this point? the fact that bf2 is now freeware that can be loaded on a pocket calculator says enough for the remarkable longevity of this forum. I spent a lot of time (some pre-bf2s) in xfire groups/forums, IRC channels, gaming lobbies, steam communities, etc., but none has lasted as long as this.
