I've played the beta,

The game definitely plays a lot like ww1 would have played:

Anti air is OP, planes weak, tanks OP, being general infantry sucks unless you're perched up on a hill as a scout (sniper).

The map is very large... and only 1 map choice in the beta...

My poor old graphics card (660) which i've been putting off an upgrade forever is suffering, which isn't a surprise.


The gameplay itself feels more like bf3 than bf4, which is a good thing. It's lighter if you know what i mean.

The most fun i had was on horses, which feel completely out of place and ridiculous, which is exactly the appeal.
Oh and the good ol tell your mate on teamspeak to hold down E, and then swoop and pick them up in the plane.

overall though, i was bored after a few rounds.

There's a bug where half the players don't spawn with weapons or equipment and the rest of the players just kill them for the whole game.

That's not a bug. It is just a preview of the Armenian civilian mode.

Judging by the footage I've seen, the horses are as ridiculously supercharged as Skyrim's.

I really like it. I'm disappointed there's no hardcore mode as yet. I'd like to see how that plays.

The forest maps are good. I'm loving the shovel or axe too. It does 80% damage to someone so you pop one shot off and can hack their head off pretty easily in close quarters.

Just got the dog tag for 100 melee kills haha

SHould be, there's plenty of new maps and updates planned.

Even the French as DLC (which is a joke imo. They should have been there from the start)

I've come around to it. I still think it feels more like a Battlefront game than a Battlefield game but that's a personal thing and isn't based on anything but my own perspective. To me Battlefield is what it was in 1942 and 2 and gaming has moved on since then.

Looking forward to the return to the WW2 setting. Maybe in two years time.

Yeah someone told me they fucked with it. I haven't used it too much since the latest big patch but when I did it didn't seem to be quite as effective as I remember. It's a shame because it's got a bit of a learning curve to it and is by no means the easiest thing to use. This while there are other balance issues they really should be focusing on, namely the death-spitting Automatico and pitiful M1903 Experimental which is only a slight improvement in damage-dealing over the Kolibri despite using normal pistol ammo.

Edit: And they made the BAR - which was already good - better. What the Hell?

I get nauseated when I play this game. Same thing happens with 3D movies
