Grenada to Al-Andalus
Your move, cow.
no screenie of the map itself (i am disappoint in myself), but the glorious restored byzantine/roman empire stretched from rome, to spain, to the suez, out to afghanistan; also had a personal union with the polish-lithuanian commonwealth and built the suez canalSuperJail Warden wrote:

also, don't have screenies of them (never thought i'd be comparing e-peens with someone ), but i had a great dutch (colonial) empire which covered the modern day benelux, plus southern england; the northeastern US; panama through venezuela; buenos aires and a good chunk of the rio de la plata basin; san francisco through LA; the entire east coast of australia; macau and taiwan; most of indonesia; sri lanka; and south africa
side note: did you carry over a CK2 save or run mods? if not, how did the vikings pop up? modded scandinavia?
Who was the country that had a bigger army and navy? Russia I assume? You need to take a steam screenshot of every great empire. Post them here. I like seeing this stuff.cowami wrote:

I never carry over CK2 saves since by the time I finish the ck2 game, I am already unstoppable.
I sometimes use the nation creator to unite boring parts of the world far away from me. Scandinavia and north and central Africa never do anything interesting so I give them good ideas to keep things interesting.
it was a while ago (first game i actually completed on ironman, hence the screenie), but i believe the bigger army was the PLC (which i didn't mind since it was effectively my army). the navy was GB, since i left most of (northern) western europe aloneSuperJail Warden wrote:

have you tried playing with Kongo yet? it's actually a pretty fun challenge, especially if you try for the African Power achievement (conquer all of Africa as Kongo). i haven't tried it yet since the last patch added nations into central africa, but it's on my to-do list
I haven't tried that yet and have zero plans to play on this new patch. The DLC is way too expensive and the balances like corruption are stupid. I am still on the previous patch for CK2 since they added in infamy which is another stupid mechanic.cowami wrote:

Paradox has the worst game balance history of any company I have ever dealt with. They make the changes to BF2 look constructive.
only a hour or so in and i have to say the game is like 10x better than doom 3. it is a lot of fun.

Doom 4 is more like Doom than Doom 3. Take a slightly watered down Brutal Doom and give it next gen graphics. Do recommend.
it is really good. very fast paced and fun. the only negative is that it lacks a quick save feature.RTHKI wrote:
So how good is that? Only played the first Doom, years ago.
What does it play similarly to? It looks a lot like Painkiller in some of the gameplay vids I've seen

idk what to compare it to.
finally entered hell. the entrance to hell
finally entered hell. the entrance to hell
entering Hell low on ammo. typical Macbeth post . . .
insurgency
it is really good. if anyone has it, i will totally play with them.

I had played the original mod and yes it was good, keep meaning to get this myself.
Squad's out?
In Alpha still. Coming along nicely though. I believe you can still buy in through Steam.
Couldn't get the fourth one through the vent shaft hole
if you open your mind too much your brain will fall out.
Pretty.
uh-huh. and quite deep and full of content as well. to think something like this could come out of crowd-funding - truly remarkable.
it's a little rough around the edges (inventory management /shudder), but very good overall. cost me next to nothing too.
Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition. just finished it and would recommend to any classic crpg fan.

Most of the Divinity games are pretty fantastic.
