oh the majority of the DVDs are stuff that isn't in the UFC library.
What events? Japanese ones or backyard shit?
Unless you are hard up for money, just go for it and put the duplicates on ebay.
When it comes to games, books, and other media I look at it in terms of how many hours you get out of it. 100 DVDs, 3 hours each. 300 hours for $200. 1 and a half hours of entertainment for a $1 each. Not bad.
Imperfect system, I know.

I am happy Jon Jones is back. Frankly, I couldn't care less about him as a person anymore but his fights are always entertaining. Worth $200.
Have you ever gone to an event? I'm thinking about it.

Never been to an event. Thought about it, but if I did it would just be for the atmosphere and to say, "I was at xx fight".
Yeah, Jon Jones is a piece of shit. Been saying it here for years. Will probably always pay to watch him fight though.
What do you think about Diaz's ban? 5 years is excessive but it was his third offense. He has to pass 1 drug test every 2 years. There's no excuse for him to fail.
Hope it is overturned but I am not signing the petition.

it's a fucking joke. If you look into the detail, he passed both tests issued by WADA accredited labs and then failed one in between those to that was done by Quest Labs, AKA the place you go for an employee piss test. Signing an online petition isn't going to do anything. I think it's a little silly to be honest.
I completely understand the "he only has to pass a test once every year" argument. The fact is he passed 2 tests that night. The other one showed ridiculously high levels. It's a suspect test and the impartiality of the commission needs to be seriously questioned. They acted like mob bosses or angry little kids. Unprofessional as all hell.
Smoking a joint isn't even close to being on the same level as taking PEDs. How is it treated more harshly?

I guess you are right. I'm still not going to bat for him though.
DC is really the black fedor. Last night's fight was great. Scoring was a little funny. DC is the fighter Jones will eventually evolve to. Dude is killing it at 36 years old.

Speaking of Fedor, his next fight is on NYE in Japan against an Indian kickboxer who hasn't won since 2011 and is 1-0 in MMA. I can understand wanting easy fights but that is just ridiculous. They couldn't find one famous HW or LHW for him to beat?
Tomorrow I have McG, Weidman, Jacare
I want Aldo, Rockhold, and Jacare

pretty impressive performances by Rockhold and Gay Jesus. Was a little disappointed in the main event, for the sole reason it only lasted 15 seconds.
Very impressed with Rockhold too. He isn't the same guy that got knocked out by TRT Vitor.
Gay Jesus not so much. He could fight a good two rounds but won't be able to fight 5.
Weidman losing is a breath of fresh air for the division though.

What do you think about CM getting an instant title shot at 155? I think it is ridiculous considering Frankie Edgar and Max Halloway both deserve title shots.
If CM wants to lose so badly he should definitely go to 155. There has never been a dominant champion there. Hardest division.

BJ had the title for a good chunk of time.
I don't really have any feelings about it. I want to see fights, and I think CM fighting at either feather or light weight will make for good fights. I don't think Halloway is ready for a title shot yet. He's been on an awesome streak but I think he needs to beat one more top 5 guy.

BJ only defended it 3 times. Same number as Benson and Edgar.

You agree though that 155 is a lot harder of a division though?

yeah 3 times is no joke. Should have won the first fight against Frankie too.
155 is definitely more stacked than 145. I think the hardest division is heavyweight for the simple fact that they have so much power.

Nate Diaz vs. Conor McGregor now. Can't wait to see this fight.
Conor finally is fighting someone taller, heavier, and longer than he is. Nate has a better resume of both wins and loses. Will be fun. If Conor doesn't blast Nate early in the fight, I can see Nate outstriking him.
I don't see Nate outstriking him. I do think it could be a drawn out battle if Nate doesn't take a lot of shots in the first and second
Other than Aldo who got caught, who has Conor out struck in his career? He hits hard for FW but he never fought someone bigger and longer than he is. I can see him getting frustrated with Nate once he see he can't bully him with his size.
he beat the shit out of siver, poirier and mendes. Not to mention another 2 dudes in CWFC back in UK.
Nate takes shots and doesn't have as good a chin as his bro. He's prone to get beat up a little bit to deal damage. Conor's biggest weapon is his footwork and timing, not his reach.

watch Conor's fight with Mendes again. He gets hit with shots a lot.
Mendes is known for having heavy hands but not being technical. I know Nate's chin has been broken before and Conor has a good shot at blasting him early. But Nate has fought a lot of bigger and very good strikers in the past and beat them. Look at his record of just wins.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nate_Diaz … rts_record
and i think the 5'9 vs 6'0 will make a difference. I am hoping Nate teaches Conor why weight-classes exist like Rory did to Diaz.

getting hit =/= being outstruck
3 guys on that list of wins are solid strikers -
Marcus Davis (extremely one-dimensional boxer)
Donald Cerrone (Diaz owned him)
Takanori Gomi (was on back end of his career when they fought)

Melvin Guillard was good and Johnson has a few solid wins coming way of his boxing too.
You didn't comment on my point about size.

How about this: Who do you want to win?
melvin guillard is a one trick pony who either smashes or gets smashed. Johnson is not even close to an elite level striker.SuperJail Warden wrote:

McGregor looked much bigger, yeah. And Nate has had trouble with bigger guys ("pumped up"). I want Diaz to win. I like watching McGregor fight but I think he's due for an ass-whooping. Humble him a lil bit.
