imagine a soccer match that has 3 total shots on goal and one went in for a 1-0 final and the rest of the time the ball generally stayed around mid-field.
All soccer matches are boring.
Fuck Israel
what's with field conditions lately? Carolina had turf issues in the post season too

I'd recommend you watch rugby but you'll never be able to understand all the rules. I still don't.

This is a dumb excuse, but I can't even get into my local MLS team which rose to power not long ago. I grew up with baseball, football, and basketball (rip sonics) and I have a hard time finding interest in other sports despite them being readily available to me. I grew up playing soccer and baseball (and pickup flag football) so I watch the world cup. But yeah that's about it. I can't even find time to fit in a new sport.
haha i rented a rugby video game about 10 years ago. Couldn't figure out for the life of me how to play. It looks so cool on TV and the video game was done well. Just didn't know what the fuck was going on half the time. Don't get me started on cricket.Ty wrote:

basically american football with no forward pass
I think i've made it clear I understand the rugby rule book down to every crossed 't' and dotted 'i'

i used to play rugby when i was in Western Samoa for 9 months but I still don't understand it.
What is difficult or complex about Cricket or Rugby?

example 1.
Fairly straight forward. But then you get.A knock-on occurs when a player loses possession of the ball and it goes forward, or when a player hits the ball forward with the hand or arm, or when the ball hits the hand or arm and goes forward, and the ball touches the ground or another player before the original player can catch it.
Exception 1. If a player rips the ball or deliberately knocks the ball from an opponent's hands and the ball goes forward from the ball carrier's hands, that is not a knock-on.
Exception 2. If a player charges down the ball as an opponent kicks it, or immediately after the kick, it is not a knock-on even though the ball may travel forward.
Exception 3. If a player carries out a drop kick it is accepted that the ball touching the ground is not a knock-on
Then you get
Exception to exception 3. If a player attempts a drop kick but misses the ball with the foot it is a knock-on.
and then
Exception 2 to exception 3. If the player unintentionally drops the ball and kicks it after one bounce it is still a knock-on. (I'm not even sure about this one)
Then you get different penalties based on an intentional v unintentional knock-on.

Its not really complex, people just need to know the rules and not be stoned on the day.
Either or both can be a challenge for many people though, and generally these people only follow one code so its not exactly super-challenging.
So far I've competed under ISSF, NRA, WA, NPA and PA rules, and a few others besides, often in parallel, its not hard.

Baseball is pretty easy once you spend enough time watching. As is the offside rule in soccer.
you know what, whatever team you support you have to admit peyton is really a cool guy
i wish i had his accent

peyton by most accounts seems like a borderline piece of shit human being, actually.
Kobe raped a woman. Where were you then?
this is the first time i've ever heard anybody talk bad about him. honestly.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

aside from the patriots fans who were mad about the result of the game mentioning his use of PEDs to get back into the league.
allegedly. It was a dark time. Kobe isn't really held up by the media as a pristine role model for boys and girls. His narrative has always been that he's a competitive asshole with a singular focus on basketball.SuperJail Warden wrote:

Peyton dropped his balls and chode on a trainers face then denied, lied and dragged her through the mud ever since. He's paid her over a million dollars from I think 4 different lawsuits over the years.
Tom Brady also gets a free pass for knocking up his baby momma then leaving her (before the baby was born!) and getting with Gisele. But Cam Newton is the dirtbag because he had an out of wedlock kid with his longtime girlfriend.
I'm 100% ok with HGH and other classified PEDs when used in a medical setting for rehabilitation. It's just incredibly hard to regulate even in a medical setting. Which doctors are approved to administer which treatments, etc. Peyton is a dirtbag for being a shit head and going to any extreme to try to keep his image squeaky clean. He sent hired PIs to the house of the guy who spoke with Al-Jazeera. He kissed Papa John on the cheek after the Super Bowl before he kissed his fucking family. Fuck Peyton Manning.
quit yanking me ken, peyton's a great guy
i say that knowing almost nothing about him and without doing any research but he seems cool

At least he's going out on a high
As a life-long Patriots fan, I'm sad to see him go. Excellent quarterback and seemingly-nice human being overall. I will honestly miss the Brady-Manning rivalry
I suppose it's not surprising that all those people into sports would be up in arms over Kaepernicks actions. So many terrible arguments being bandied about in response.
Sounds like he wanted the spotlight back on him.
He was once the QB on a top 2 team in the country but fell off into obscurity and misses it. He just wants attention and, as usual, the media gives it to him instead of a 2 paragraph column saying "kaepernick didn't stand up for the anthem. Nobody cares. Carry on."

Well, it's not about him personally, really. It's just a story that the sports media knew would blow up among the redneck football audience so they gave it coverage.
"Ah, you miserable creatures! You who think that you are so great! You who judge humanity to be so small! You who wish to reform everything! Why don't you reform yourselves? That task would be sufficient enough."
