I've made two of the meals so far. I like the fact that everything comes prepared and portioned out (with the exception of the veggies/herbs you have to chop/mince) and it's all right there in front of you. One of the dishes was super simple to make, and both have been really good so far. One of the things I struggle with (both from lack of experience and lack of research) is understanding what ingredients go together, so getting preplanned meals and then tasting how good the food goes together is awesome. And I now have at least 2 recipes I can easily reproduce.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:
so the delivery came. I got lucky in that i got the 3 (out of 6 possible) recipes that i wanted. Looking at the box, everything is from the west coast - Canada, California and a surprising amount from Mexico. I will keep everyone updated with regards to how the food turns out and an overall rating.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:
does anyone have any experience with hello fresh, blue apron, green chef or any of those subscription food services? My first delivery comes tomorrow. I'd like to know what the portion sizes are and if the food is high quality.
This one was from Hello Fresh. Next week (or maybe the week after) I will be trying out Blue Apron. I plan to review at least 4 of them. You're welcome.
Tonight is the last one - chicken milanese. I'm looking forward to drinking a bottle of wine with it.
Thanks for the update
you're welcome, buddy. I know you were on the edge of your seat.
by the way, i was really disappointed in "Show Me a Hero". It was SUPER boring. bad recommendation

It got Oscar Isaac a golden globe award. Sorry if it didn't have enough thuggery for you like the wire.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

it was slow and the story was not compelling enough for me. Nothing to do with thuggery. The Wire started out slow but it was for the sake of character development. The Wire had a cohesive story line with many characters interacting, which allowed for different viewpoints of the same sitaution.
None of my criticism has to do with the acting, so that golden globe award is pretty irrelevant to my point. I thought the acting overall was very good.

I had to google that cause it sounded interesting, and it's just a fucking schnitzel. Why do you have to change the names of everything in America.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

It's really weird when Facebook puts up a big notification that someone's relationship ended. Even weirder that it is possible to comment and like it and people will do both.
agree
That signals it's time to move in on dat ass. Clearly, Mac.

1.) cellphone shanty
2.) dim sum restaurant
3.) dry cleaner
4.) nail salon
5.) ambiguous "import/export" store full of mostly luggage I suspect is stolen from the airport, the former content of which I suspect form the "export" part of the business.
I should clarify, when I said Asians I mean Sub-Continental Asians as in Indians/Pakistanis.Pocshy2.0 wrote:
