Can you actually fly ships in this yet, or is it still just hangar porn?
Yer, the next stage will be multi-crew ships. Obviously they're prioritising the ones that will play a part in Squadron 42 but the Constellation looks ready to go.

I got the Avenger Titan LTI for $50. I have missed my Avenger since it was upgraded to the 315p.
Now I have:
Titan w/LTI
315p from an Omega Package
Cutlass Black from an Omega Package
And on my son's accout I have a Mustang Delta from Omega Package.
Something has to become a Freelancer Max or Connie Taurus.
I think the 300i series is being reworked and I like the 315p. Hell I like all my ships, but I want....
The Sale is on now!

I wish my PC could run it!
I have a good system but a shite graphics card. Once I replace that I'll be good. It's a matter of finding a spare $700.

I just tried it before. I have no idea what I'm doing but it's pretty fucking cool. Walked around the station a bit, ordered up my 300i which was delivered to a landing pad, (bugged, it was just floating there.) At the same time some bloke ordered up his Gladius for the adjacent pad, we got in our ships. I flew around a bit. Tried out the cruise mode which is nicely fast, then picked a point in the universe to jump to and immediately came under attack from some fucker in another ship. So I fucked off to another point in the universe at which point the game froze my computer. But it was still pretty fucking cool and I barely know any of the controls, (didn't even know how to turn my weapons on to fight back,) so I'm going to go back in to see what I can work out.

Upgraded my cutlass black to a retaliator. I also got an upgrade from that to a starfarer. I can't decide what I want. Retaliator sucks right now and starfarer looks nice, but could go constellation or bmm or Kal et al thing.
Flew in the PU for the first time this past weekend. Fun but not too much to do so far.
Lots coming along. I see youre a rear admiral now Ty
I am? Haven't added anything to my hangar for years.
Nicked a Starfarer the other day. One of the ships is available to test fly at the mo' so was running a few missions with that. Came back to Port Olisar and there was an abandoned Starfarer just floating there. Decided to have an explore - it's massive. Got lost a lot. Finally found my way around and located the cockpit. It's interesting flying a bigger ship, not a great deal different because space is just so large. Has some powerful guns on it, took out a pirate with one direct hit. Not good in an extended scrap though, managed to destroy it in responding to another gang of pirates.
The 3.0 patch looks like it'll be wicked. Should be released by the end of the year.

I'm really liking where this game is going now, this feels a lot like how I wanted Eve to feel but it never quite managed to. Mostly because a lot of us wanted space combat in real-time like this instead of micro-managing a bunch of automated shit in Eve.
It was smart of them to focus on walking in stations so early on too, rather than add it much later in a very jarring and incomplete manner like Eve did. The way I see it being done in this demo is very similar to the way I had imagined it when it was first talked about in Eve so long ago. It adds a lot more to the immersion and the atmosphere of the game.
