Battlefront is basically Battlefield 4 with Star Wars skins?
almost. It looks a little arcade-y but the first two BattleFronts were not too bad. I'll probably wait until a few months after the game launches to get it. Getting video games on release nowadays is pointless in my opinion. Too many games are incomplete at launch. The more people rush out to get those games on launch day, the more justification the publishers have for releasing incomplete games.

battlefield 4 didn't become playable until like a year after release.
It's just the beta don't get too excited. Its lasts 4 days
Very fun so far. I suspect you'd need to like star wars to get the most out of it however

I downloaded the beta. Not very impressed. I don't like how vehicles and such come as drops on the battlefield. Feels like you spend a lot of time running, and depending on what force you are, you spend a lot of time out in the open. I understand it's the beta but it took about 15 tries to connect online. The flying system takes some getting used to.
The beta just reinforces my belief that the game will be virtually unplayable at launch. Still haven't changed my position of waiting probably 6+ months before I buy it, if at all. The whole "vehicles as drops/perks" is a big issue for me.

Only problem I had was the game freezing right as I was about to beat the survival map.

At first glance it seems far too scripted. Would rather play a Tie Fighter or Jedi Knight sequel, or see Star Wars games explore some new territory for the franchise.

I enjoyed the fun of it, couldn't play it for long periods though. the 2 modes grew old after a round or 2
i thought it was too repetitive. Would have liked something more. The game is super laggy too. I'm not sure why I download betas at all, because I have the same complaints all the time. However, it's definitely a game I won't buy for a while after launch, if at all.
Beta was smooth as silk on ps4.
