white t shirts are for dudes who fix cars and pipes. Yellow sweat stains and a beer guy optional accessories.
I remember from like 2004-2008 people who listened to rap music liked to dress in oversized white t-shirts
I think the wire made fun of this. Never liked it.

v necks are horribly unfashionable and are worn by the worst types of people. particularly hate a v neck jumper – total cack and acceptable only in the most casual situations. why would anyone do that to themselves when they could have a nice cable-knit crew neck or a light crew neck sweatshirt and a sexy Oxford collar underneath? one is layered sophistication and the other is a douche.

are you're having a fucking laugh mate
a jumper/light sweatshirt was more what I was referring to, also if you're gonna wear a shirt underneath then you defo want a v neck. Shirt collars in crew necks are a right fiddle to look right, an oxford collar slightly less so but even so
and worn without a shirt a v neck just frames the face better, there's some designs/patterns that do look better in a crew neck but for a solid plain colour it's v neck all day long
'...acceptable only in the most casual situations' you ponce.
'hey do you want to go for drinks later?'
'sure but will it be the MOST casual situation?'
'no this one's gonna be medium to low casual'
' FUCK ME SIDEWAYS let me change into a crew neck!'
crew neck wanker

V-Necks are only acceptable on women with very large breasts or when playing cricket.
At all other times they're awful.

wearing a shirt underneath a v-neck jumper so it shows the whole collar and top two buttons... errgggh you look stupid. it looks like you're wearing a woman's beefy labia on your chest. or like the residual hangover from a fucking 17th century ruff or something. there is no way that much material frothing underneath your chin in layers and folds looks good. you look like a fucking cum drinking faglord.
i'm obviously going to struggle to find an immediate example of what i mean in a picture, but google images for 'shirt and jumper' produced this
which looks 100x better than a fucking v-neck with a shirt. oh my god dauntless puke.

@dilb women are a different ball game, leave them out of it.
also let's not get ridiculous with the deep Vs, I'm obv not talking about those, but fyi I think that cricket example also looks totes gay
I think it also depends on the build, a v neck compliments a more toned/slightly muscular build
in general v necks make you look taller/slimmer and crew necks make you look wider/tubbier
tried to find two fairly similar shirts, there's no way the crew looks better out of these two:

uzi i think you're also picturing a deeper V than what I mean
I wear shirts most of the time but it's almost always without a tie or jumper, and most of the time I wear something with a V neck it's casual and without a shirt.
But if I were to wear a jumper over a shirt I still think this suits a collar better:

that crew neck picture is misleading because there's nothing underneath. it looks weird wearing a jumper that is thin and close cut and having, like, a vest underneath. if i'm wearing a shirt+jumper combo, i still gotta say that the crew/collar looks better. v-necks make me cringe.
