Each season is its own self contained story line so you can jump straight into season 2 if you want.
Season 1 is the one that Matt M almost got an Emmy for and is considered the better season but it is a much different setting and format. Season 1 is in rural Louisiana and is 3/4 flashbacks. It follows mostly Woody's and Matt's relationship as they try to solve a weird murder.
Season 2 is set in urban and industrial California and follows 4 characters. 3 cops and a mafia figure as they all try to solve a murder for different reasons. It is only 1/20 flashbacks so far and is all set in the present and has forward momentum.
I think each season only has 8 episodes so it will go quickly. If you watch it, you can talk to me about it whenever you need

Does anybody use a good battery-powered speaker for playing mp3 players/ipods? Doesn't have to be especially nice, just have a long battery life.
For on the boat out on the water for extended periods of time. Doesn't have necessarily be bluetooth or wireless either, just has to be able to turn on away from an outlet.

how long is extended periods? I bought some cheap beats bluetooth knockoff (it actually says "Boats by dre" on the box) when I was in thailand and fully charged it can play for about 5 hours or so. Alternatively you could always get a USB/mini USB portable battery and use that.
You can get cheap wireless speakers for ~$20 from Staples/Office Depot. Alternatively I am going out to Asia on saturday and can pick you up some cheap. I think I paid like $8 for each speaker set.

I realize that's probably too long for most speakers out there so I wont worry if something doesn't exist.
I'm also looking into a solar charger so hopefully with that + a speaker set that can get charged via usb (the solar charger output) I'll be set.
i watched the first two episodes of Attack on Titan on Monday. I watched 6 more episodes last night. So far it's pretty fucking insane. I'm enjoying the story and the cinematography and the overall look and feel of the show. Anyone else seen it? Please don't ruin it for me. I'm going to d/l the rest of the season and watch it when i'm traveling next week.
