i feel i was on the outside of a curve, what being older and acting younger than most. '27, members like you made me feel life was not different despite four thousand miles and a few time zones separating us - except for uzique, i don't think there was a silver spoon amongst us, and basically there were people posting from every walk of life and every human condition. i laughed god help me when the thermal past was put on the pointy ends. i slaped my face when old-timey moderators banned active members. i wondered when chuy went with Amazon how long these forums would last. i wondered how long 200 bottles of beer would last . . .1927 wrote:

what does my mod note say? fuck it, at this time i really don't care.
they should take the warning labels offa everything, and let let nature take it's course.
RIP kiddies, youth and skill will never overcome age and treachery . . .

your mod note says "Burnz"
your mod note says "Burnz"
burnzy, it stays as a read-only archive so everything will still be there just can't add
I still never got to make an official EE Chats <month> <year> thread
lol hardly. i am not an aristocrat and i frankly doubt i'm the only person on the entirety of bf2s who went to a private school. i just spent a year or so utterly bored and cultivating a snob persona to create friction and drama. it was funny. it added to the forum's mileage.Steve-0 wrote:

not to mention giving you something to talk about on your shrink's couch for about 5 years afterwards.

The 10,000+ post EE chat threads were probably the best thing about the forum.mtb0minime wrote:

Our beloved AU chats thread is rip
everything i write is a ramble and should not be taken seriously.... seriously. ♥
bf2s to be featured on the "Now that's Internet" soundtrack.
Thought I would hop in here for a last post
In retrospect unfortunately it looks like BF3/BF4 didn't revive this forum and trackr didn't pan out for whatever reason after all the talk about it several years ago on here. And that the most active BF community right now is on the shitty battlelog forums. Nothing will beat the experience here during BF2's heyday though.

RIP sweet prince
Thanks for everything, chuy. I'll miss lurking late at night.

Was the whole 'stupid hipster' thing also an invented meme for our amusement?uziq wrote:

Fuck Israel
dilbert the fact you call me a hipster has only just emphasised how asocial and outcast you are.
i have never dressed like or represented a hipster at all. they have giant waxed beards and obsess over things like expensive bikes.
you would know this if you left the suburbs where you live with your parents and actually went to one of these fabled 'gentrifying' areas.

Not a great feeling, given just how much time I used to spend on here.
