I was however surprised by how good the USA/CAN womens teams were from what little I watched. Skill wise some players were basically right there with the men, but they seemed to get lost way more often... Just really never look to have nearly the same flow/speed/sense of the game.War Man wrote:

USA looked fucking good against Slovakia... I mean, yeah harder teams ahead but first game out they played VERY well together and really looked to have chemistry. I was surprised how many nice little moves like that drop pass for the first goal they were making, considering how short a time they have been playing together.
A little worried about Quick and the width of the ice... But he only let in 1 goal, on a missed offsides call, while being screened and the shooter cut back to shoot against his momentum and took a real nice shot.
