I'm sat at home, a few beers non the wiser. David Blaine is on TV and he's doing his thing. Is is me, being a Brit? or is he making money, doing things we all could do in our won backyards with the right equipment? I may be a drunk and skeptical Englishman, but I think the gullible US public loves this kind or pretender entertainer!

Not everyone over here falls for his 'bullshittery'. Most of us could do it in our backyard, and tv magic is so,uhhh, wonkey. I know some folks watch for the same reason they watch racing, wanna see some crash and burn.
Penn & Teller are about the only magicians I care to watch, partly cuz they tell you what they are doing is B.S.

David Blaine probably got more attention over on your side of the pond by the way it sounds. I saw his water trick on tv on the news a couple of times but it was just for a few min. I dont think his last few stunts have gotten the attention that he wanted.
