Saw this in the local shop, been looking for a nice .223 for a while now. I understand the 700 has proven its worth. Also like the look of the 100th anniversary edition, but it's too big

Just got the M&P for $410(+ tax...), new, at a relatively large gun show here in KC. It seemed like a decent price for not having to deal with having it shipped to me. I guess you gotta start somewhere. Now on to getting a CCW...
I stayed at my cousins house in CT last weekend and he used that time to whip out his gun collection. First thing I did was clear every weapon he set down in front of me

Sometimes they're really good about it during the first few months of ownership, and then they just get careless.

The gun control people spurred him to buy his mini arsenal. Funny how that works.Mutantbear wrote:

Some of the shit you hear at a large show in Missouri would make your stomach turn. You would have to sit through a Sunday morning sermon to hear more BS in a few hours. I have a very love/hate relationship with this state and its populace.Jay wrote:

The gun on the right is a massive piece of shit. In all seriousness, probably the worst gun design in the history of guns.
Hahahahahhaha lol OK....

The guns you normally shoot barely qualify as guns. The only reason they are even called guns is because something flies out the end of it.
Comparing .22s with .22s the Ruger is perfectly serviceable.
Its not my fault tards can't handle it.

A 1911 is perfectly serviceable but it doesn't mean it's better than a Glock. That's my argument. Why have the obsolete, over complicated machine that has literally no advantage over ANY other gun? The only reason would be collector, historical, innovative or sentimental value. The 1911 has those and in my opinion is not a piece of shit. The Ruger Mark III/IV has none of those and is therefor a piece of shit with no real value apart from scrap price.Dilbert_X wrote:

A Ruger .22 is a perfectly reasonable plinking/training pistol, they're reliable and durable.
We had four in our club and I stripped and cleaned them hundreds of times, its just not difficult.
1911s are antiques though - the only auto pistol which unlocks under full breach pressure

It's a Ruger 22/45.
I loved mine.
How bad could landscaping be.

I thought weeding the motor pool and policing up cigarette butts sucked most. I'm just glad I never had extra duty in Iraq, who knows what they would've come up with.
