I had a few golf lessons about 3 months ago. I was incredibly hung over yesterday and forgot how to swing a club. I've got my handicap down to under 20
I have not had time to play once yet this year. Hoping to get a round in either Thursday morning or Saturday morning.
about the only course i've been able to make it out to is a local executive/par 3, for a par of 31/27. my best is +8 this year, got out early and the greens were running true.
also, this year i'm letting others keep score and just trying to find my tempo. if i swing too quick it goes low and left, too slow it goes slice. on one par 3 i hit the stick and landed in a bunker. three magnificent sand wedges later i had a new bunker inside the bunker, and a golf ball with a smiley face where i bladed it.
that's what it gets for laughing at me . . .

congrats, Phyllis Mickleson, for reclaiming the trophy that's rightfully ours, and being the first woman to win the men's British Open.
Made it out to a par 71, 6,850 yard course. this pic doesn't quite show the elevation change (tee to green was -65 feet)
was +14, the heat took it out of me on the back 9. bogeyed both par 5's, my only birdie came on 16.

At least you got out to play, and it looks like it was a nice day for it too.
PGA starts tomorrow. Tiger wins at Firestone by 7.
Who do you think will win this week?
Because they are playing Oak Hill, i think Lee Westwood wins. he plays left to right.

Who ever hits the fairways and greens. In the rough, you die.
Tiger also plays left to right. He was in the running for 2 of this year's 3 previous majors.

aye, but Tiger's a bit wayward off the tee. if he tames that, he'll be there. i said West wood because his length, and discipline, and he also has been there lately.Stubbee wrote:

it will be a good tournament imho.
this brings up an interesting question:
would you rather only only do well during Majors but do poorly at all other events or the opposite, do well during events but never get a major?
Basically win 3-4 events a year but never a major OR win maybe one every year or two, but never any other time.

Do well in the Majors.
Shaun Micheel proved you don't have to win regular events to win a Major.CC-Marley wrote:

Do both preferably consistently.

Does Dufner remind you of Raymond Floyd?

Tiger Woods has to stop having raunchy monkey sex on soft beds before major tournament and playoffs.
So who wins the 10 000 000 in 2013?

Adam Scott is playing well.
I'm hovering in between a 15 and a 18 right now. I'd really like to get below 15 before the end of September. At least I live in a place you can play golf virtually year round though. I absolutely need to get below 10 by March. It's going to be tough.
I'm supposed to play Pelican Hill in Newport on Thursday. If I end up getting out there I will take some pics. Beautiful course.

I just started going to the driving range a few weeks ago. I am total trash, haha. I can put it where I want with a 7 iron pretty often though.
