I've also heard that they were Afghani fighters in the video. Although, it is a bit grainy. If you look at the 3rd shot, there looks to be an arm and hand flying through the air. In either case, the .50 cal is a very destructive weapon that carries high energy into a target. It can definately shread a person in that manner.
If you've seen other videos such as the one with the US Apache turning insurgents into pulp with it's chaingun, you'll definately understand the power of a big caliber weapon. There is nothing as eye opening as a person turning to pulp upon one round hitting them. Nobody said war was pretty, that's for sure.

defently an awsome weapon, but the bf2 version is hevilly nerfed, i mean the L96 is a world re-nown rifle because of its maker "accuracy international" and the fact the thing is based on an olymipic target rifle design, and has been designed so a 10yr old can get a 1inch group with 5 rounds at 600 metres but the barrett 50 in real the would seriouly make brown stains in the pants of an apc driver, the thing rips through lorry engine blocks for god sake. although i am a mojor fan of the l96a1 and major respect to the british armed forces and the guys out there doing this for real, the barrett is heavy duty and in a world of its own.
