Looking at this on Amazon for $470. The only programming software I have is from the 80's and 90's. Worth the plunge?

Took a C++ course in high school, so I'm a bit rusty, but I was going to get back into practice by working on little programs like Ski Free and Snakes.

probably not worth paying for pro unless you're going to use it full time

why not just use express? (or pirate pro)

Good call, grabbing Express. If I need the stuff in Pro, I'll just buy it. Not worth pirating stuff, imo.

I'll give that one a look, too. I'm not on a timetable, I just like to find things to do with my computer other than game/office/html/surf/fold.
