Open was good, $39 for a ground pass, got there at 2pm, saw some random match, then queued for AGES to see the Williams sisters double, saw the last few games. Then saw Berdytch and Anderson, then watched Novak fall to pieces before it got too cold to stay.
I think I did quite well to see as much as I did in the time I had, definitely a good call to not go by bus.

You just lose too much time by bus. At least with a car you can decide when and where you go, where to stop, what to see etc. Though I think if I had been by myself in the US I wouldn't have hired cars unless I had to.

That Novak vs Stan game was pretty epic. Almost 5 hours though.

Didn't have any VB, always quite liked XXXX, Pure blonde was one of my favourites. Tooheys was ok, although there is two and one of them was better than the other.

Also, good one on passing on the VB. Whenever I've driven down the Gold Coast with a mate we see the VB Tours billboard, he says "VB tour, must be a group of people watching a dog piss into a keg".

At the tennis, and they wouldn't shut up. Shouting in the breaks, cheering on guys they had no clue about and dicking around calling the umpire out etc.
Gets tedious after a few games.

I was watching it on tv and kept wondering when they were going to get kicked out. I saw Murray have a serve at the umpire in the final against Djokovic for not doing more than just "saying please". I think it's a good point, it's a game where concentration is crucial and unexpected noise can throw a player off their game.
