edges of screen are cut off

when i'm in osx and use my 24" external monitor, everything is fine, but when i'm in windows and set the resolution of my external monitor to its native 1920x1080, the edges of the screen get cut off as you can see in the pics. if i set the resolution to 1680x1050, it will fill the whole screen, but obviously i'd rather it just work like it's supposed to at 1920x1080. any ideas?

what happens if you try to extend the image in the settings on the monitor itself? does it just stretch it or fill properly at 1080p?

the option for aspect control on my monitor settings is greyed out, and i can't access it. i don't think that's the problem though since the whole screen is filled when it's on 1680x1050 and works fine at 1920x1080 in osx

I've had similar problem before where at my native res the edges were cut off, which it just randomly started doing. Clearing and reinstalling drivers seemed to sort it out though.

finally figured it out. luckily found some random post in the apple support forums that had a link to the right driver which came with ccc. just had to put overscan to 0% in the settings and its good to go. weeeeeee

Was going to mention overscan, but it generally only defaults to that if it is a HDTV rather than a monitor.
