A new RTS FPS hybrid game, that is free to play, is in development. It is set in World War 2. It is mainly a PC game but you can use mobile devices such as smart phones and ipads if you are playing as a general. Concept sounds interesting, I signed up for beta.

I gave it a try but I couldn't deal with the graphics(especially the fog). It's really hard to see anything and it all made me feel like I was playing a really old and shitty Medal of Honor game

As a general, do you get the ability to use martial law to execute subordinates who don't follow your orders?
Otherwise your job will once again be reduced to dropping vehicles on unexpecting players and spotting enemy boats...

No, but as a general there are cut scenes in which you get to bang the local prostitutes on credit only to leave town before repaying your debt. I've heard great things about the merger of porn and ww2. It's really cutting through the shit and giving me the accessible and transparent experience I want: sexual repression expressed in a video game set during ww2.

I really don't like the browser based crap this has, also don't like the idea of people ramboing around with mg42's and M1919's, they should adjust that. Game does show promise, I was just on a shit battle with only half tracks and bicycles(may I add that this is funny, especially 'cause you can ring the bell) and very few people for my first time.

The campaign map is slow an un-optimised, and some of the guns need tweaking but it is a true beta. the Kar98 is amazing though.

I chose USA for rapid fire guns. Is my beloved StG 44 in this beta or not? I had doubts it would be in this beta at the moment.

I don't think I have seen it yet, MP40, MG42 and the Kar98 are the most common ones I've seen.

Man, bicycles are really handy, always available and they can hold up to 2 people including operator. I also find it awesome you can essentailly do a tank desant as well. Anyway, I just found out you can adjust sight to better optimize for a certain ranges, explains why I couldn't shoot crap with my Garand at a distance while I got killed at range unless saved by my team.

I'm getting the hang of this, I do hate that foggy map as well as that nighttime one.

People said it isn't out yet.

I bought a Colt 1911 incase I have to pick up a Bazooka to blow tanks up, I at least can properly fight back with a gun, I also replaced my grenades for sticky bombs as I don't use grenades much anyway.

Yeah push space to range your weapons. Pistols are a must.

Aiming+rolling the mousewheel up and down also works. I am saving up credits to create a new character, I think I will make a tank crew character.

Glad I've equipped stickybombs, been pretty handy when the situation arises. Blew up a medium tank and a half track so far into this game with those.

Anyway, I got introduced to hand-to-hand fighting today, I was busy attacking a point inside a house which barely has enough room to fit a few people, so some kraut just pulled his shovel and went after me, I was like "Oh shit!" and rapidly fired my Garand at him. I tryed making a run for it when I fired all 8 bullets but he killed me, I laughed after that. If I had a close combat weapon equipped I would of used it on him, but I need to save up for a new character to buy before I can but myself a shovel.

Get a pistol at least. And I'd save up and get an armour AT before getting a tank crew character. That way every battle you enter will have a tank crew slot, rather than turning up and only having infantry like a lot of the battle seem to.

That's the first thing I bought, I also bought sticky bombs.

Even though I like the hellcat historically speaking, I want to take some hits, the Sherman offers nice armor. If I was Germany, I would consider as the Panzer I light tank can't even damage tanks, American M5A1 at least can fight other tanks.
