Internal - Windows built-in, xcopy, robocopy, teracopy, rsync/deltacopy, etc. If internal, then what's your hardware setup? Windows Server, linux rsync server, Solaris with raid-z, etc.

External - Crashplan, Backblaze, etc.

Tbh I haven't done 'proper' backups for some time now at home. Something which is on my to-do list. Right now just some internal HDDs which are not connected to the PC most of the time.

the e-sata's faster than usb 2, i'm thinking about gatting the usb 3 version. it's good for accessing the drive without actually installing it.
