Just got word that my step-grandpa is dying (step-moms dad) And also, I have to take my dads dog to the vet to be put to sleep. What kinda shit is that? I hate today..

IamSorry. I hope you have family or freinds that will give you a hug. Its sad but I don't think my Grandad is going to last very maney years longer. I don't know if I will get see my granparents in the next few years as they live 2500 miles away since I moved to the southeast.
Thanks dudes.... I knew that I would have to put the dog down sooner or later, but didnt know about g-pa. He was a piece of history, survivor of the holocaust. It was amazing just being in his presence sometimes, genuine, intelligent, caring, devoted to his family. They'll both be in better places, that's for sure.
Boomer - sorry to hear of the impending loss. My Grandfather was a survivor as well. The thing I cherish most is that before he passed, my rabbi convinced me to record an interview with him about his past. He took the time and enthusiasm to impart on me 79 yrs of wisdom including the memoirs of his years as a Jew in the death camps. I've dubbed from tape to digi, and I'm serious when I say that those recordings rank as some of my most prized possesions. If your step G-dad is capable, draw as much as you can. It'll hurt a bit, but sometimes pain makes the best memories, eh?
As for the pet. Sorry to hear about that too, seems I've met better animals then people in my lifetime. Hang in there bro, I'm feelin for ya.

Well, as I stated, I had to put my dog down and it was harder than I thought it would be watching your family pet take her last breath and leave the world....

Ah man that sucks,dont know what to say thats not been said. my thoughts go out to you and your family. sometimes people take their family for granted,it seems you were not one of those people and i can only pray that when my time comes i will have friends/relatives like you with me. im sure he appreciated it. and as for your dog...i dont how you did that,i love my dog with all my heart. i would tell you to stay strong but you are clearly stronger than most. good luck
