well all your other words were just americanisations. 'center' and 'centre' have two distinct meanings, i.e. the implication of including 'center' on your list - of americanisms - was wrong, because center isn't an americanism. nor is it used wrongly all that often, unless you hang around with mongs (chance: likely, having both irish and northern monkey friends).

words that piss me off are mostly of the class of wishy-washy 'pleasant' modifiers, e.g. 'nice', 'good'; or when one 'likes'. these words are the vocab equivalent of upper-lip bumfluff, in place of a finely-waxed moustache.
