A volcano on Io
Io is my favorite moon, aside from Luna. Other moons may look more deserving (Titan, Europa) for their use in sci-fi, but I've always had a soft spot for volcanology.
I like Ganymede best because of Robert A. Heinlein's "Farmer in the Sky".
