Enough to get me to at least watch the pilot. Looks interesting enough. Still comes off like your prototypical basic cable drama series, but I'll give it a shot.
That pissed me off. I thought it was going to be really cool then I saw the retarded fight scenes with swords and,...was that a flintlock musket at one point?jsnipy wrote:
Looked good until that cheesy sword fight. Just can't get invested in another writing free for all.

lol what the fuck...
premise seems rather shaky at best.
Also apparently guns magically stop working when the power goes out... lol.

Fly-by-wire aircrafts these days, piloted by what amounts to "autopilot" pilots.RAIMIUS wrote:
Apparently turbine engines need electrical power to work and aircraft enter crazy flat spins when they lose electrical power...WTF?
A few aircraft would go dumb with no electrical power, but quite a lot work just fine. Even if it did go dumb, it would have to enter a nasty out of trim stall to get anything like that.Ilocano wrote:

I like Charlie though. Eye Candy.

Turbines don't need electrical power, nor do steam engines....
A lot of the detail problems with this show arise from the tendency of the writers to make things the way they are so the characters can have cool looking sword fights, rather than any logical basis.
Unfortunately with the massive amount of logical problems, and lack of intriguing characters (other than perhaps the bad guy's enforcer), I don't see much of a future for this show.
"Ooh, sword fights, let's give everyone swords!"
"The Hunger Games had a strong teenage female lead who used archaic weaponry...let's make our lead character a teenage female who uses archaic weaponry!" "The Hunger Games had a male character who was supposed to kill the lead character but fell in love with her...let's do that too!"
"Our character should be trusting...nevermind the fact that 19 out of the last 20 strangers she met tried to kill her, and the other has unknown intentions!"
We were talking about the modern FBW jumbo jets.RAIMIUS wrote:
Depends on the engine. The Huey doesn't need any electrical power to fly at lower altitudes, for example.
