Army and AF can be hard to distinguish at a distance, due to the similar colors, but up close it's pretty easy (different patterns). Dead giveaway is if you see a dude with chevrons on his sleeve (AF). Normally shows even with battlerattle on.
Navy with the old style DCUs stood out like a turd in a punchbowl.
Maybe I've just worked around all Services so much that it's just second-nature.
