should
Yeah it should probably work for the basic functions. The again you're a bit of a moron if you're going to drop some money on a phone which you are probably going to be keeping for sometime without doing anyway research. I remember when the Hero came out a lot of people couldn't seem to put it down I regretted getting my Blackberry!Kampframmer wrote:
Yes, but a it was too late. The useful ROMs didn't release till a lot later and i just couldnt be bothered getting one for the last 2-3 months that i had it.wah1188 wrote:
Did you at least checkout some custom roms for it?
You need to understand that i bought this phone when adroid was still up-and-coming, the marketplace was just black and white letters.
My whole point is that i bought it in a time when smartphones weren't exactly in their baby shoes.
Sure, there will always be phones that are better than the other, but most of it does boil down to personal preference (be it model or OS). You should be able to buy a phone with 0 research and it should work (as promised preferably). A major company releasing a shit product in this day and age (or back then for that matter) simply should not happen, yet it did.

All games are available for Android, as well as Steam and DRM-free downloads for Windows, Mac and Linux.
Soundtracks are included for all of them as well.
In the near future, they will launch an Android updater app, so you can get updates for the games too, which doesn't work with the Android Market.

- EDGE A puzzle game with flipping cubes

I was bored yesterday and played around with a new launcher.
There is a google voice update for those interested. It didn't come up automatically, I had to check the market to get it.
I haven't had the problem where it get stuck sending a text since the newest update.. even though performance isn't specifically mentioned as an upgrade.Earlier today, the Google Voice app for Android was quietly updated, moving it to version 0.4.2.44.
While the minuscule version number may suggest otherwise, this newest iteration is significant, as it shows off a completely redesigned user interface and a shiny new app icon. Both are marked by the clean lines and cyan accents of the newest Android operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich.
The most notable feature added to Google Voice is Click-to-Call, located in the top-right corner of the tablet version of the app. Click-to-Call summons a small pop-up window that, as you can imagine, makes placing calls from the app easier than ever. Meanwhile, the smartphone version of Google Voice has the new interface and icon, but no Click-to-Call feature.

The new Google Voice (download) is available for free now in the Android Market.

ALSO, can I perhaps disable/kill/do anything to my lost android in any way so the peckerhead who has it, can't use it?

It's pretty good very nice animations!
Hmm, I hope Sony Ericsson still are going to release ICS for my Xperia as they promised some months ago.
noticed my battery was barely hitting the 15 hour mark recently, reflashed my rom, kernel and restored apps via titanium. 20 minutes work and i have 40-50+ hour battery life again.
weird how it degrades so much oh well, its not that much work to do every 2 months or so

for $10 a month, i can port my current number to it and use the mobile hotspot for my laptop and tablet
You can use pdanet for free like i do.. u dont have to root to do it, or you can root and now it has mobile wifi hotspot built in.

the $10 would allow me to use unlimited data, text and calls on the number i already have (personal contribution). if i let the fire department assign a new number, then it becomes county property and i'll carry two phones. i'll still get to tether the laptop with it though . . .
I have the real SGSII and its beautiful. And wifi hotspot is a default feature is it not? I had it on stock
The SGSIII is supposedly just around the bend so you might want to keep an eye on that too!

I've been grandfathered in unlimited data with verizon already. If I ever change my plan I'm up shit creek tho. I regularly go over 25gigs and whenever I go in to the Verizon store and they look at my plan they're like wtf?! ..lol
