Haven't seen any I would suspect on PS3 yet. Lots with suspcious dog tags though. People with nemisis medal dog tags with a couple thousand nemisis kills, def padding there.
Ive seen a few odd things crop up, people seem to spawn in odd places but thats about it. I'll put down the strange kills to me being shit and give them the benefit of the doubt.
That's not hacking at all.
Someone killing you with RPGs from across the map without a line of sight, or hitting you with the mortar through several layers of ceiling of an indestructible building, getting kills with an insane frequency that the top-right board is filled up with them - now that is hacking.

I have never tried, but does the SOFLAM keep the zoom level once you exit it?m3thod wrote:

I spent all of my gaming time last Chavelining but how do I know if anyone is using a SOFLAM. Do they have to be in my squad for me to use it with the Jav?
No, anyone on your team.1927 wrote:

I think, you'll see a 3D icon for deployed friendly tools. Probably a minimap icon too.
Oh, I dont think anyone had one out then in that caseglobefish23 wrote:

Yeah, because if only one competent SOFLAM user is out there, there would be designated targets (red rhombus with a dot) all around, and continuous beeping for the enemies.1927 wrote:

It will pick up targets across the whole map (espically air targets) so zoom level doesnt matter.globefish23 wrote:

Blackbelts are just whitebelts who have never quit.

So it's actually better to leave it unattended in an out of view location, where it can cover as much of the map as possible?
Yeah but the disadvantage is it has Red Laser hanging out of its arse which will give its posistion away, possibly
I'm pretty sure it still has the limited range when you're not using it. If not, lol that's OP.
Meh. It will do its job before it gets shot.
Really?1927 wrote:

No red laser when using it manually?
Red laser is still on even under manual use.
Correct. But it shines a big read beacon that can be seen for miles away anyway, so deploy high as you can, away from most eyes.globefish23 wrote:

did you see the range it was targeting in the radio tower soflam/jav video that was posted earlier?Finray wrote:

they were hitting both spawns.

I never got it, does the soflam work even if you are not manually lasing targets?
I havent unlocked one yet but I think you just, set it up and run off. Until it gets destroyed it lights the targets up.
If you leave the SOFLAM unattended it will still designate targets. But I believe the range will be slightly less, and obviously it will only be in the direction/FOV you left it. The best way to use it is to set it up move away from it and then use it manually if you see something that "needs" designating i.e. the chopper. Otherwise just leave it to do it manually and if there people using Jav/guided shells you'll still get a few points.
I also noticed that the SOFLAM automatically spots enemy soldiers and puts the red triangle above their heads when manually using it.
Am I right to assume that those targeted soldiers appear for your team too?

In the same way they would if you had actually "spotted" them.globefish23 wrote:

SOFLAM will manually laser-designate targets. You can do it manually if you want. Range seems random. Sometimes I can lock really far, other times it won't lock onto something really close.
And above your tomb, the stars will belong to us.
I think it might be due to the Line of sight for the SOFLAM? When I've used it manually, I noticed that I could only laser paint vehicles that I could actually see. Once they went behind a hill or something, I lost them.-Sh1fty- wrote:

Someone else might want to confirm if they saw something similar.
