Anyone else suffer this kind of upgrade itch?

Basically, im running a Noctua DH-14. Its awesome.

Yet, having a corsiar case with the slot ready, and a corsair psu, and soon a corsair mouse (but not the keyboard, its not as good as the competition) and the rest of my motherboard wiring tucked, im thinking of wasting £110.

Now this isnt going to make my pc any cooler, or quieter, or quicker. It just feels like I am missing out... why?

Is it pointless and moronic to perform this sidegrade "just because..."?

I think it's just a matter of the money "burning a whole in your wallet" and you have an itch to spend it. You kind of said it yourself, it's not going to help out much. But if money's not an option, then by all means blow it on something you deem as not-really-necessary. If you don't have anything better to spend the £110 on, go for it.

It doesnt take me that long to read 10 books.

I buy books for £2 each max, and if its good read it in a day.

No, part of my business involves buying and selling books, its awesome, I buy books cheap and sell them on for lots more, and get to read them.

Every single book I have purchased for under 10p (and then sold for upto £650) has been mint!

I feel your pain.. I didnt need the second GTX580 at all.. But too much empty space in my corsair case.

Was a book about historic ships, including the one docked in Portsmouth that they turned into a meuseum of sorts.

Was signed and stamped with the ships stamp and signed by the current Captain and the Admiral of the fleet.

EXTREMELY rare infact i think only one in existence, sold it for quick sale, could have sold it for more maybe, who knows, its incredibly difficult to price such an item.

Parents bought me an Asus LED 27" monitor, everything runs great around 70fps on ultra however it doesnt "feel" the same as 120+ fps.

Therefore I am going to sell my 580 1.5GB and buy a pair of 560 2GB's for SLI. Should spank the 580, and will only cost me £140 to upgrade.

Will most likely do the Corsair at the same time though I have heard its quite loud (pun intended) so maybe not..

Just up your mouse sensitivity and it'll feel like it did at 120 fps.

Trust me. I usually play COD4 at 250fps. And I'm kind of a big deal on this forum too.
