Alway good seeing Sir Pete back in his element. Might see if I can get involved in this one, I was too young to really do much in LotR. It's all happening a short walk away from me so I may as well check it out.
Actually the NZ Army was involved in the filming of the LotR movies, providing extras and doing a few other tasks. They might be involved this time too. That'd be cool.

Can't wait for the riddling scene. So classic.
You'd make a good goblin.Ty wrote:

Yeah, looks like not many people here have read the book.
the story of The Hobbit is such a wonderful entrance into the LoTR series that i'm kind of mad it didn't come first. i guess i'll be happy that it's going to happen . . .

God I hope they keep the singing to a minimum.
Ho-ho, my lad!
I remember listening to The Hobbit on a book on tap. The dwarven song in the beginning lasted for fucking 20 minutes.
So much cg
But still looks good. I have fond memories of the book.

In the other films Gimlé wasn't done with cg. Now all the dwarves look a little disneyish. But I guess it's harder to use camera angle tricks when you have thirteen dwarves.AussieReaper wrote:

The one thing I dislike about Peter Jackson's films is the camera is always bloody moving.
Makes me mad.
