There still seems to be a bit of a delay. I was getting TV missle hits by slightly leading targets (basically aiming at the nose of moving air targets...opposite of BF2, where the tail seemed to be the sweet spot), but it's nowhere near as bad as before the patch. Maybe it's just me...
no shit , feels like playing in 2 fps ...aerodynamic wrote:

So, they took the lag out of the missile impact, then?
SWEET!
PROTIP :
DON'T USE ANYTHING OTHER THAN PRIMARY WEAPON WHEN JUMPING IN THE CHOPPER AS GUNNER

Yeah, definitely annoying.thepilot91 wrote:

The range is can also be frustrating. I ALMOST put a TV missile up the tailpipe of a jet...but it ranged out about 15ft short.
The TV missile in 2142 used the same smooth aiming as this game and had the input lag as well.
At first I couldn't use it at all but it's pretty easy to get used to. Still haven't unlocked it in this game yet though .

Yeah, it is usable, but takes more control and planning to use well vs. the bf2 missile.
I like it. The first time i started using tvs i got 10 kills with it. Mobile aa didnt have a snowballs chance in hell.
If the women don't find ya handsome. They should at least find ya handy.
I don´t like flying helis I realized.
well they truly managed, that you HAVE to play with your gunner/pilot as a team! i like! TV raping ftw!
Usque Ad Finem
I redact my earlier statement. I like flying them if I have a competent gunner. Soloing bores me.
If you wind up solo, you are pretty much restricted to guided rocket runs or going after stupid enemy helos with heat seekers.
With a competent gunner
With a competent gunner
I´m still grinding for all the equipment, so only unguided and heatseekers as pilot
If you have guided rockets, it's not too difficult to get at least a vehicle disable from a good distance.
Those guided rockets only work on ground targets right? I played around with them a brief bit going against another heli and nothing seemed to happen. I'm pretty sure the Battlelog description mentions ground targets, but I want to be completely sure.
yeah they are just guided to the ground targets. on a side note, i've had some good success solo'ing with the tv missle. the engine all but dies when you switch seats, but the heli's take way more damage than bf2. you can pretty much let them hit the ground without dying, as long as they land on the skids. its great for taking out the other heli, then concentrating on ground stuff. it's much harder to hit with the tv missle though, so you definitely need to plan your shots.
Yeah, the guided rockets only work well against enemy ground vehicles.
Although, they do damage if you can get hits against enemy helos, but you need to either be a good shot or REALLY close...

I can never seem to hit the heli with the guided rockets at close distance, they all go through the heli without damaging it.RAIMIUS wrote:

Much easier at longer distance, atleast for me.

I could be wrong, but I think they patched out the effectiveness of A-T-G rockets against air targets.
I haven't played much since the B2K patch came out. The rockets did launch rather low though, so you had to aim about a quarter to half rotor diameter above to hit the fuselage, at close range.
zoom optics suck
And above your tomb, the stars will belong to us.
Nah, they're great for sniping infantry with the coax machine gun.-Sh1fty- wrote:

E.g. when the enemy tank crew bailed and hides in the bushes or behind some rocks.

Thermal is better for that
Thermal Targeting >>> Zoom Optics.
I recently unlocked "Below the radar", yet it doesn´t show in Battlelog nor can I select it in loadout. Whats up with that?
