The original PlanetSide had subscription fees in line with the average MMO fees for the time. I'm guessing it'll be the same deal this time around. If it's anything like the original, it'll be money well spent.

Played the beta for it and it was awesome. Time to be Vanu again with their advance technology and hovervehicles. They did a good job with the hovervehicles being able to go over water, hate sci-fi games that make hover vehicles sink when they reach the water. I hope they don't have those stupid walkers they had in an expansion as I heard those were way the fuck overpowered, completely ruined the game.

I remember talking to friends during BF2s heyday about how the Battlefield franchise should some day move to a full-world-scale MMOFPS, seems like somebody's already taken it a step further...

The amazing thing about PlanetSide was that everyone could jump in from any direction and join the fighting, head on or covertly. When the BFR expansion came, it just became BFRs fighting BFRs, and everyone else trying to keep the BFR on their team alive.

I hope they retain the concept of BR and CR, and keep the ability separation and training the way it was. If I can also have a Galaxy and a Liberator, then I'll be set for perpetuating the New Conglomerate master race.

I know it was so much fun. BFRs just completely ruined the game when they came around, a team with 1 BFR with no opposing BFRs could just win because they have a fucking BFR on their side. Made tanks and every other vehicle worthless.

If it is anything like planetside 1(which I only played the multiplayer beta on), it can end up massive. Not to mention the battles could last hours and even days.

Oh, and the hover vehicles actually could go over and hover above water, unlike games like bf2142 and halo where hover vehicles sink when they get underwater.

One thing I do regret is I didn't play Vanu Sovereignty enough, I simply tryed all 3 factions to know the differences. I definitely am gonna be playing the Vanu as they got the hover vehicles and energy weapons. Although I liked the gatling gun for the Terran Republic, especially the dual gatling guns with the MAX armor.

They say at least 750 v 750 v 750 on a single continent, and that they're aiming for 1500 v 1500 v 1500.

I'm a bit disappointed with the F2P model. More cannon fodder, sure, but more cheaters as well. When PlanetSide did the free trials, and free play until BR 10 or so, cheating was more rampant than in any other game ever.
