...Yeah, no. Starting the Dark Brotherhood quests tonight.

You need to do 4 or 6 (can't remember) in Markarth, Solitude, Windhelm and Whiterun. They take a really small amount of time if you just make sure you are doing 2 quests in the same city each time (by cancelling/accepting the quests or quickloading so it randoms the right ones). They are also actual thieving in contrast to most of the questline which had just as much combat as the companions one did.

Nightingale is still the best light set though, so it is only worth doing for completions sake.

I still haven't even figured out how to recharge items yet

I only became one at 30+
It's still very powerful. Fast melee attack that deals tons of damage, a pretty effective howl/roar and the ability to feed on each killed opponent.
Sure, it might not be as effective as sneking in and slitting throats, but sometimes the situations demands you rush in and maul the fuck out of everything in sight.
And the kill animations never get boring.

Haha, that feeling I know, I literally have nothing left to buy in my thief/assassin save yet still I feel I should be pilfering anything worth more than fifty septims, I blame the mad rush for gold at the start.

In fable you could kill someone that owned a house and then you could buy their house since they are dead and not in their house

I never killed any of them because I liked having the halo over my head and I didnt want to be lonely in the city
