So I was poisoned by a frostbite spider awhile ago, people keep saying I look sick, but my health and stamina are unaffected. What potion do I use to heal my poisoning?

I always forget that shrines get rid of them too, but really, when the fuck else am I going to use those Cure Disease potions.  If I remember correctly they were something of a delicacy in Morrowind

For some reason the drop-rate on cure disease potion is:
Level 1-5: Drops often
Level 5+: Never drops
I think they just assume you become a werewolf at that point so you won't need them again ever...

Any tips on the best way to acquire Daedra hearts? I found one in Jorrvaskr but that's it.

Also 98 smithing... so close

Daedric quests sometimes have you fight enemies that drop them...

Okay, so I've never played Oblivion. Did like Fallout 3 though.

Skyrim just finished installing and I'll be playing it tonight after work.

Any tips you can give a newbie?

Am I going to be able to locate the side quests easy enough or do I have to have a set path from one villiage to the next? I'd rather complete the sidequests before the main and not have anything locked since I killed a minor character during the main.

At what point should I stop from the main and focus on the minor?

Stop following the main quest when you get to the throat of the world, go there, listen to what they want to tell you, then don't complete the quest they give you when you leave...

Smithing is your friend...

Save skillpoints if you don't feel there is any currently available skill you want, when leveling gets slow they come in handy!

Save up 5000 gold for your first house in Whiterun, it's handy for offloading stuff you can't carry...

Yeah, I got two of them from the two Daedras you fight in the Mehrunes Razor quest

Gave one to the Orcish stronghold lady along with a Troll Fat and gave the other to the Markarth Jarl's blacksmith

What the?

I'm level 31-ish and I'm somewhere around smithing 90... I even felt that I grinded alot, killing ALL THE ANIMALS and making hide bracers of their skin which I then enchanted with petty soulgems and sold...

EDIT: btw what is the level cap? I'm getting worried about not being able to get all the skills I want... On the other hand, console commands should fix that...

I think 50 is the level cap.

And I just bought leather strips and leather from the blacksmiths in Solitude and Whiterun every in-game day. Made a shitload of leather bracers, and if I had any leather strips left, made iron daggers. Really not that hard.

Also, is legendary the highest you can improve a weapon? I'd think so as I can't improve any further and I'm 100 smithing.

I'm rocking daedric armor, dragonbone gauntlets, dragonbone boots and a dragonbone helmet right now. Will switch to all Daedric once I get my hands on some Daedra hearts, and considering the quest I just got in Markarth, that might be coming soon.  Looks fucking badass with my Heisenberg beard though lol

Do smithing enchantments stack up to the cap? e.g. I enchanted armor, hands and a ring for smithing.

and what is the cap?

I still need to find something with enchanting buffs on it to learn the enchant-enchant

No level cap. 50 is the 'soft' cap i.e after 50 levelling becomes really slow. If you were to get 100 in every skill you'd end up about level 80 something.

Yes legendary is the highest but there is no cap on how much you can improve. You can fortify smithing with apparel and potions to get better improvements until you hit the potion fortify cap.

You can get daedra hearts from the azura star quest. In the otherworld the chump summons 3 daedra you can kill for hearts so don't kill the chump before killing the daedra.

I'd kill him. The blades quests are more interesting than the 'shout locator'. Plus I use very few of the shouts anyway.

AFAIK there isn't an enchanting cap. However there is no enchant-enchant. The only way to improve enchanting is with potions. You can improve alchemy with enchanting and although I've not done it myself I believe there is a cap on how much potions can give. If you want to know how good shit can get check this http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/t … -31-perks/

Does anyone know what the level requirement is to get the highest tier nightingale armour?
