At least no one has voted for Episode II yet.

Empire Strikes Back ftw.

I voted for Empire.

Episode I:
Pros: Darth Maul is cool, Naboo Starfighters are t3h seksay, Cool Droids
Cons: Gay Podracing, Qui-Gon 'poohead' Jinn, Stupid Nute Gunray

Episode II:
Pros: Geonosis, bitch. It's like Hoth's predecessor. And Yoder fight!
Cons: Clones are too much like the droids, just not cool-looking. And the Super Battle droid is gay. And Jango.

Episode III:
Pros: Mustafar! Palpatine fighting!
Cons: Not enuogh Grievous, too much droid slapstick humor. Too much romance. This is Star Wars, not Star Love.

Episode IV:
Pros: Deathstar. Inside and outside. omgsplosion. Catchy lines
Cons: Slow to start.

Episode V:
Pros: HOTH! AT-AT's, Snowspeeders, chickenwalkers, wampas, recon droids... zomg!
Cons: Can't think of any right now....
Pros: Cloud city! Bespin! LANDO!!! LOBOT!!! zomg!

Episode VI:
Pros: Super cool Deathstar 2 battle. zomg learn how to fly Executor star destroyer noob. Palpatine LIGHTNING!
Cons: If there were Ewoks on Earth they'd be extinct becuase I would've KILLED THEM ALL!!!

Okay yeah. That's my analysis of Star Wars.

Without a doubt Empire Strikes Back. Everything goes to hell, and when its over it's kind of like you took a shot in the nutz. Plus Vader is the MAN in this one also......keeps going around choking motherfuckers that piss him off. What, you came out of hyperspace too quick? Choke.......dead. The Millenium Falcon got away??? Oh hell no, CHOKE......dead. And there are always two dudes that come and carry the dead guy away, like Imperial janitors or something.  SWEEEEEET.

What I want to know is why the prequel trilogy is even on this poll. It's more of a TV series than anything else.

Anyway, my vote went for RotJ, due to Luke's tinkering with the Dark Side without being swayed by it. By the end of the movie, he received Force training from Obi-Wan, Yoda, Vader and the Emperor, as well as being responsible for the deaths of countless soldiers of the Empire. No wonder he was so feared afterwards (in the books).

Yay, I picked the most popular one.  I like the Empire Strikes Back the best because of the story expansion, new characters, and I think it had the best action of them all.

1. TESB - Luke training with Yoda, Han & Leia, mack daddy Lando Calrissian and the introduction(originally) of Boba Fett!

2. ROTJ - Two Words: Slave Leia.

3. ANH - Not the best, but not the worst either. Jawas FTW!

4. AOTC - Less Jar-Jar, and Christopher Lee as a Sith!

5. TPM - Again, two words: Jar-Jar.

6. ROTS - Kinda torn on this one. Sure the duel between Obi and Ani/Vader was kick ass, but the romance between Ani and Padme was so weak.

The main problem with the prequel series is Lucas directing. He should have followed the same pattern as the original trilogy, direct the first, then concentrate on the STORY and let some one else direct, someone whose style fits the mood of each film. Lucas seems to do better with action and exposition that actually building characters and their relationships. The acting was pretty lame too. Hayden, Jake, I'm looking in your direction.

A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back share the first place IMO.

ROTJ was good because of the massive battle and Luke/Vader/Palpatine battle.

ESB was cool because of Hoth, Boba Fett, and the plot twist "I am your father"...wait...HUH?!?!?!

AOTC had some great battle scenes.

ROTS-amazing battles, Yoda kicks ..., talking battle droids was a bad idea, and they ruined
Vader, "NOOOOOO!!!!" ...worst cheesy line!

ANH-"the original" factor, a good place to start the series.

TPM-I liked the AATs and Naboo fighters, but jar-jar...

Hmm..... If the original trilogy had Darth Maul it would be perfect..... In any case, the original trilogy is better (makes some fucking sense... I don't get the storyline of the first three beyond the kickass battle scenes...)....

Jar-Jar disturbs me... I get a sudden urge (much like the rock throwing) to beat his brains out with a large rock....

Darth Maul is kickass....

So true. The legend of the coolest movie villain ever completely destroyed in 1 second.

When I watched the old movies as a kid I immediately liked them. For some reason completely beyond my intellectual capacities they the saw need to multiply the child attraction factor by 1,000 by adding talking droids and jar-jar binks. By doing so the new movies became kind of ridiculous.

Another thing that bothers me are the continuous attempts at (often childish) humor. If I want to see a comedy in space I'll watch Spaceballs dammit.

Indeed. Well said. I LOVED the original trilogy when I saw it as a child. Just the lightsabres alone did the trick. No need for all that other bullcrap. Oh well, at least Ewan McGregor was good as Obi-Wan.
