I remember buying BF2 the day it came out. It was my first new multiplayer FPS after playing Quake and Jedi Knight for so many years.

I started with 1942 at an EA kickoff party for retailers. Was drinking beers and playing the game online with our department store representative. It was the point of no return...

Started BF2 when Blackhawks would rape everything on Mashtuur.

The Deathhawk was so awesome. I remember the playing the demo and it would rape everything.

After the demo I didn't like BF2 for some reason and didn't really play it until well after it was released. I think in late 2007 I started playing again and started liking it, then I got all the expansions. I wish I got into it sooner as especially with SF because by the time I started playing it in 2008 almost every server was 24/7 ghost town. Never really tried some of the other maps that looked great. Iron Gator is right up there for greatest BF map ever. Raping everyone in the carrier with the DAO never got old. Stopped playing BF2 a little after 1.41 came out.

I lost my key but EA Support gave me another key and started playing it a few weeks ago and the hit detection is so much bullshit. I don't know what the fuck Dice did with 1.5 but the game really doesn't feel the same as I remember it, Oh well...

BF3 is so lame with the player boundaries, part of the fun of BF2 was going into the enemy uncapped and fucking their shit up. Especially on maps where there was the aircraft carrier. I have a feeling that B2K maps are going to be gimped in size compared to the originals. Still BF3 is a great game overall.

That ^. Played a ton of dc at a LAN center here and played plenty of 1942 as well. Once bf2 came out I was at the LAN center from open to close every Saturday for over a year. Then I got a new pc. Only made it to 1st Lt. In bf2 and that was pretty recent lol. Good times tho, especially glitching karkand hotel lol

Yes, login at http://www.battlefieldbadcompany2.com/login and go to the My Soldier > Veteran section.
There you should be able to register your previous games by connecting your Gamespy accounts, PSN or XBox accounts or by entering your PC CD keys directly.

Since I have registered all my games years before on the old veteran page (prior to BC2), I can't tell if this is working nowadays.
I already had problems with registering BF2142 Northern Strike, although I got the Deluxe pack, and had to contact support.

I read that many people directly contacted support and got a veteran status of the full 9, regardless if they actually owned the games.

I'm a fan of player boundaries.  Do you know how annoying it is to have the other team continually steal all your vehicles?  (Still possible, but harder now.)

No because I was on the team stealing the enemies vehicles because it's a viable and effective strategy. And I still do it now on damavand on conquest because the souct heli respawns instantly so it's either keep fighting it every 10 seconds or steal it, the latter is preferable.
