the video-game reviews/criticism industry is by far, out of any entertainment-review industry, the worst. it is literally shocking. standards of 'journalism' and 'criticism' in video-gaming are completely non-existent. you don't get this with books, or television, or film, or any other form of cultural production (i'll avoid the word 'art' because video-games, in this current state, are FAR from art). it's simply the fact that all of the major video-game websites are owned by vast entertainment conglomerates that have tight business ties with the publishers/producers. it's all one big family sucking each other off and flattering each other on how well they've done on Ripoff Shooter Sequel #23. nobody will ever put a stop to it or raise a genuine voice of concern because it means one person forfeiting their paycheque against an industry full of people all besotted with one another. even 'dissenting' voices like zero punctuation are really just commodified and made-profit-of in this industry because of their 'novelty' and entertainment-factor; at the end of the day, stuff like zp is still free advertisement. the entire video-game industry (plus the concomittant reviews and criticism that survive on it) are totally stitched up together and are completely, utterly irrelevant. disregard them.

After watching this I cannot believe how similar the game is to COD4

I can't possibly see any reason why someone should pay €40-60 for what is basically a worse version of COD4

i also love how that one city map is a more-than-obvious cover of bf3's seine crossing (just look at the eiffel tower ffs). it's like the lazy shit developers and greedy businessmen behind call of duty rubbed their hands together and said: "right, what does this new bf3 thing have? lets do it, better!" although of course it was far, far worse.

Eurogamer to me is pretty fair though (and they actually have writers writing their reviews, not just some asshole who couldnt pass english)

Ya the moscow airport scene in MW2 was pretty disgusting as well.  ESPECIALLY after the bombing this year.

I get it, they're trying to be edgy.  If they had any balls they should just recreate the 9/11 attacks.  See what happens then.

I don't even really care about the drama of it. It's just pathetic that they have to manipulate emotions in order to create a story. Having famous icons attacked, showing a kid blown up, etc.
