Any idea what this extra 200 points for is at the end of some rounds?
what game mode? I always get a conquest ribbon at the end of conquest. But I think I may have gotten the additional points once.chuyskywalker wrote:

If not it might be a bug, where the server doesn't give you a ribbon, but knows it should have, so gives you a misc bonus?
I thought the additional points were points you got for kills, kill bonuses, revives etc in the round, so it'd go through all your ribbons and then add your score from that round on to the award score.

Nah, it's tallied and displayed like a ribbon, after the ribbons, but there is no graphic, and normally...

i got an additional 2000 points after 1 round for some reason.
i also collected approx 37 ribbons in the same round
(they kept spawning at the same point....and i just happend to be camping there)

They give you points for doing nothing.
I thought that was for when the loading time for all the ribbons ran over, so the additional points was for ribbons that you earnt, the next map is loaded so why bother looking at more ribbons.
I only ever saw it when the ribbons were like 10+ or so.

I have gotten this Additional Points as well and am stumped.
No, the normal 200 for playing and 500 for winning go by. And there was plenty of time left on the display to show more "stuff". So I'm ruling those out.

I just got the Assault rifle dog tag and that gave me 2000 points, then at the end of the round I got "additional points" 2000, must be for additional points you get for dog tags, check next time you get promoted too, they must be the 200 point ones
It's because if you get an unlock for a vehicle, sometimes it won't ad the points to your score when it is calculating your score for that vehicle. Since you still get the points, it will just tack them on at the end. Minor bug.

I saw an N7 dogtag in a video the other day... Can you customize them or choose from some premade ones like those banners in call of duty?

You choose pre-made ones from a list using Battlelog. Go to the Dog Tags tab on your soldier stats and there's an edit button which will let you pick which ones you want displayed.
I've seen the same thing happen to me, random +200 or +2000 (not complaining at all) pts at the end of the round. I checked the battle report after one time I got +200, and I was the top assault player. Maybe that's it?

I've just started parsing and downloading battle reports, so that may shed some light on it.
I've seen weird amounts show up at the end of a round when promoted, and it always seems to be "leftover" points.
eg. 340 points to promotion, get a 500pt award which only shows as 340, you've been promoted, then 160 additional points.
