No, both businesses I've started never got off the ground enough for me to have a secretary and employees.

I was working for a government agency, essentially they hired a bunch of people to do fieldwork and I was a regional manager. It was basically like running a business; I recruited, hired, trained, supervised, budgeted, all that fun shit. They even let me work from home, hence the pool. 'Twas nice; paid well, got to boss people twice my age around, and sit in the pool. It got intense every two weeks or so when we had dealines.

tl;dr lowlevel management for a government agency

At my job I'd like there to be cameras. The managers tell me I'm their best worker and it pisses off the people who've worked there 2+ years and those coworkers give me a hard time by not doing things or saying "hurry up" whenever the boss is around to make me look bad when I'm doing crap for them. I'd never call anybody out to the bosses on not doing a good job at work though. Wish I could, but I'd feel so bad doing it.

Not a huge problem. Don't tie your entire life to one single corporation. If something happens, they'll spit you out even if you're in mid/upper management.

Or they'll keep piling more and more work on you just to see if you ask for help...so they won't feel bad about firing you.
