Being able to type really quick is one thing, but if you can't draw diagrams or charts there's little point.

Call me a luddite but I rather use the pen and paper. Physically writing down stuff seems quicker and makes it easier for me to remember.
I also have trouble paying attention to stuff on screens for extended periods of time. It's too tempting to do other stuff.
